Lily Auction photo questions

In considering purchasing some daylily seed at the LA, it appeared that many (if not most) of the current sellers (those who presently have seeds listed) are using the hybridizer's photo of the pod or pollen parent. That was just very frustrating to me. I wanted to see other photos besides the hybridizer's photo. Is this common on the LA? Do the hybridizers not care if someone uses their photo? It seems to me if someone is going to take the time to go out and hand pollinate these daylilies that they could certainly take photos. Would it be that the CV doesn't look half as good as the hybridizers photo? It makes me wonder if they have the plants growing in their gardens at all.
