Are you referring "Sugarloaf"? If so, they do not gain the typical weight in Florida's sub-tropical climate. I have many starters (not from slips, but culture) if you are interested. They are light and mail well.

What is nice about this variety is they produce 3 to 5 slips per fruit that become easy starts.

Thanks...we are buying a place in Fort Myers and will need lots of plants. It will be several months till we get there and I sure would love some of your starts. So how big do they get on average?

I am interested in the white pineapple starts. I have a clump of white fleshed pineapples. I think that the name is 'Elizabeth'. My three gourmet varieties do produce a smaller pineapple also, but it is worth it because they are lower acid varieties.

So, how do I go about getting some of your white fleshed pineapple starters?

Are these white pineapples green plants or varigated?My mother has some that are a white leaf with pink edges and the fruit starts out pink.

The White Perola is the other variety, I prefer the Sugarloaf.

Grow under Bananas to provide some filtered light and mulch in with Pine Bark for best results. I feed them 0/0/20 and 0/0/40 with a heavy dose of vermicompost every 4 months.

Chuck--You are referring to the ornamental pineapple. They are not eaten. I have those in a flower bed because they are quite showy.

Gary--I am probably confusing Victoria and Elizabeth. My tags are long gone. If you think that the white fleshed one is Victoria than that's what I will go by. The other one suckers excessively.
