Ruth Elaine liked our great autumn weather today in PA.

Thanks everyone for your comments on my previous post of yesterday.

Today Ruth Elaine bloomed again, in fact there were triplets. I didn't have time to take a photo when I got home from work so I took one now. I chose the single bloom since it gives a better showing. The other two blooms were 'hugging' each other. She is a softer color then when she bloomed at her peak.

I will try and find the name of the cosmos. I got it from a local Amish nursery so a quick telephone call is not available. I am going to save the seeds, and see what I get next summer. Hybrids do not usually look like the original bloom, and by the looks of this one it probably is a hybrid. Mine also got very tall, and some I even pulled out because they were huge with no buds about a month ago. I wanted any moisture available to go to the daylilies in the area. I now wish I would have left them alone to see what developed, if anything. I like the foliage of the cosmos plant, also.
