They don't typically start growing rapidly till overnights hit over 60*F and daytime over 80*F. Where did you get st augustine sprigs? In your town? If so, how did it look round year?

get some mulch .. pile it on ... and let ma nature take care of getting rid of the grass below ... by next spring... you will be amazed at how fluffy it is underneath ... forget about the roundup .. its done its job ... its irrelevant .. trust me .. if you need to plant now.. take your saucer or the top of a garbage can ... move back the mulch .... take off the rotting grass ..set aside ... dig hole.. placing soil on the saucer .. do NOT get soil on top of your mulch ... dig a little deeper than you need.. throw the dead grass at the bottom.. put some soil over it .. plant hosta.... reset mulch ... but not within 3 to 6 inches of the hosta ... water .. walk to next spot ... i have done this with bare root trees ... three days after the roundup was applied ... nothing.. nada .. don't worry about it ... roots just don't grow that fast.. and roundup is said to be inert once it hits soil ... any grass that pokes back through the mulch .. just spot spray it .. the hole point of mulch .. is to cover soil and weed seed .... that is why i spray in the mulch .. to avoid bringing soil back on top by pulling weeds ... the least amount of spray you need .. is the best.. i would rather you have to go back in a week and re hit a spot of grass .. rather than see you dump 5 gallons of spray on your mulch to kill a little grass ... besides .. its expensive ... paper if you want ... i think its a waste of time ... mulch should be 2 to 4 inches thick .. AFTER IT SETTLES .... so i put it on about 4 to 6 inches deep ... its early .. maybe i missed something... ken

My husband and I contacted two lawyers today and made an appointment for a consultation. He thought maybe letting his son's mother know that he's serious about getting rights established that maybe she would be more coopertive and willing to reach a mutual agreement. She was furious!! She felt that he was plotting behind her back. Come to find out she was planning to move after the school year was over. Not too far away, but in another county about 35 minutes away. The sad thing is, she was not the one to say something about it. Their son told me this afternoon when I picked him up from school. Now she says the Shared Parenting won't work because their son would be too far away from his school to live with us equally during the school year. She said she was moving to become closer to her school and still close enough to her job. Maybe it's just all a coinsidence but it smells very fishy too me!! I didn't ask his son how long he new about it, probably should have, I was just to surprized to respond effectively. I just called his father after we arrived home to ask if her possible move was brought to his attention yet. So we went from feeling pretty hopefull to getting this issue resolved quickly and easily to feeling very sad and almost empty. It's not like he's moving to another state, but he has always lived no more than 10 minutes from us and is over everyother day/night. This news just doesn't feel right. I think this move has alot of potenial to change alot of things for the negative. Hopefully my husband can get rights and an agreement before the opportunity exists.
