Has anyone had any experience with ronda's ?

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the seller rondas on the LA?

She has some great prices but all are for spring ship, I've never bought this far ahead before. Is it a good idea?

I'm a little concerned about money exchanging hands so far from plants being shipped. please any advice or info would help greatly.(by no means would i suggest this person would do that I'm just concerned).

You have caught me on, so I will comment (Go 'Skins! I hope have not cursed them...lol..she says with fingers crossed). I have bought several times from Ronda. She has sent me very nice plants. This past spring, she chose to send extra fan(s) vs a bonus, which I liked. I found her trustworthy, if that is part of your concern. No one pays interest...lol...but that is just the way this game is played.

There are a couple that look very tempting (to me) but I am trying really hard to be disciplined. I have failed at this every year so far...lol.

Remember that she grows pretty far in the south, so the concern about losing plants over winter is probably not likely. If you want the ones she is offering and the price is right, pretty much (there will be a few exceptions) from here on out...you're going to see a lot of "for spring 2009" deliveries.

Also, if you check her "About Me", you will see that she is very forthright about her spraying program. This may or may not be a concern for you, but I appreciate sellers who give me a headsup.

I've been buying from Ronda for several years, and have friends who live close to her and buy from her also. She's a great person to do business with and will treat you right. I wouldn't hesitate to bid on her plants even if they were for spring shipping only. I've always been very satisfied with the dl's I've won from her.

My sister lives in senior housing in N.Y. state and a fewyears ago they put one in for her.First they put handrails,then as she aged and her health was not so good they put the lift in.She loves it and says it saved her life as she couldn't go up and down anymore as she lives on the 2nd floor. Those are the dumbest senior apts i've ever seen,told her a man must have designed them(no offense to men ).The stairs are very steep and there is no landing to stop and rest at,and when you get to the top there is no door,gate or anything of that nature at the top. Among being older she is also an epileptic,and we always worry about getting too close to the stairs on the way to the kitchen,lose her balance or have a seizure and tumble down those stairs. When she first moved in many years ago they didn't even have the hand rails,she had to request them.She lives in a very small town so there aren't a lot of choices for seniors. Kathi

No advice here either but here are some things to think about. The dining room says 13'6" x 12'. Except the usable space for placing a table and chairs when accounting for walking room is actually 7'6" long x 6' because you need to assume 3' from each wall for walking around a table with chairs. Same problem in the nook, except in the nook you also have the only doors out to the backyard. Then the question is do you need 3 small separate living spaces downstairs plus a dining nook, the island with bar seating and the dining room? Are you really going to use all three dining spaces where they're worth spending the money for the space or could the space be better utilized by, as an example, combining the two dining spaces into one larger space and having the dining space and the seating at the island? Upstairs the master bedroom shares a bedroom wall with bedroom 4. And the only wall for the master bed to go on is against the wall shared with bedroom 4. That could um, get embarrassing. Bedroom 3 has the toilet against its wall. It also has its closet against the outside wall. A wall that would be better used by having an additional window. Bedroom 3 says the width is 11'2" but with the closet and desk that space is actually 9'2". Bedroom 2 says it's 10'10" but the usable space because of the closet makes it only 8'8" and with the bifold doors, you need to account for those too. The prime corner real estate is taken up not with the master bedroom but with the master bath.

Appaso is a trade name owned by Shenzhen City Xinyang Mobile Commerce Co., Ltd. Xinyang Mobile is not a faucet manufacturer. It is an exporter that contracts with various Chinese faucet factories to export their faucets and sell them under the Appaso name. It maintains a presence in the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Japan, and Singapore. In each locality, it sells through the local Amazon and other hosting websites such as Wayfair. In the fifteen minutes I devoted to researching the company, I was not able to identify the actual manufacturers, but it is a safe bet that they are Chinese in origin. The Appaso U.S. website is a two-page stub that provides no information about its products or warranty and very little and very general information about the company. It does not ever mention the actual company name or country of origin. What little information it contains was clearly written by a person for whom English is not a native language. The company offers no written warranty on its products. The company's "presence" is virtual, not physical. It does not have a physical presence in the U.S. or Canada. Its claimed physical location in the U.S. at Vomi, LLC, 5140 Rogers St Ste D, Las Vegas, NV, 89118 is an address shared by over a dozen Nevada-registered companies, most of which were organized by Chinese nationals. There is no evidence that any actual business is conducted at that address and to all appearances, it is a mail drop created to give the impression of a physical U.S. location. Appaso's claimed warehouse locations appear to be Amazon fulfillment centers. Appaso faucets ARE NOT CERTIFIED to US/Canadian standards and regulations. None of the seven testing organizations that certify faucets to joint US/Canadian standards have certified Appaso faucets. In detail: Xinyang Mobile Commerce has not Filed the required certifications of compliance with the water conservation requirements of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. In consequence, Appaso faucets are not legal for distribution "in commerce" in the U.S., meaning they cannot legally be imported, advertised, held for sale, offered for sale, sold, or delivered after a sale to any locality in the United States, its territories or possessions. The penalty for violation is $440 and each instance of distribution in commerce is a separate violation. Had the faucets tested or certified to ASME A112.18.1/CSA 125.1 (the basic U.S./Canadian faucet standard), ANSI/NSF 371 (the lead content standard), or ANSI/NSF 61 (the faucet health effects standard). Consequently, there is no reason to believe that these faucets are free of lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury, selenium, or some 5,000 other toxic materials that commonly infest faucets made in China. The legal consequence of not having been tested and certified is that the faucet cannot lawfully be installed in any drinking water system in the U.S. or Canada, public or private. Penalties vary from state to state and may include civil fines, criminal fines, and imprisonment. It is the HOMEOWNER who is liable for violations, not Xinyang Mobile Commerce. Submitted Appaso faucets for testing to California standards and are as a consequence not legal for sale in or delivery into California. The penalty for violation is $2,500, and each sale or delivery is a separate violation. The faucets violate the lead standards of California, Vermont, Louisiana, and Maryland. They may not be sold or installed in Massachusetts, and installation in Georgia is a criminal offense. I bought many daylilies over the winter for spring delivery from Rhondas. I must say that her daylilies were some of the best I have ever received. They were large with extra fans as a bonus. She's a wonderful communicator on the LA. Go for it, and trust that you will not be disappointed when you get your daylilies from her.

I won plants from her a few years ago, and I recall how delighted I was by the quality. I'd have no compunction about bidding on her auctions, regardless of delivery times.

In fact, I've returned to the auction again -- this past year, almost all of my daylilies have come from hybridizers, from club sales and auctions, and from a nearby display garden that sells on site, with only a few from the lily auction -- and I am operating under the assumption that all plants I win between now and spring will be for spring delivery.

Rondas is one of the best Lily Auction sellers. I've won auctions from her the past two years, and the plants were great. She usually sends more fans than advertised.

I recommend Rondas, too! She sent me top quality & correctly ID'd plants with a beautiful bonus at exactly my requested time in the Spring.
They bloomed heartily & have multiplied! Trust her, you will not be sorry!

Its always good to know of another great Lily auction seller. I have never tried her but who knows, maybe will some time in the future.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR INPUT! I REALLY APPRECIATE HEARING ABOUT THE WONDERFUL QUALITY OF BOTH THE PLANTS AND THE PERSON. IT MAKES MY DECISION MAKING EASIER. YOU SEE I'VE ALREADY GONE " HOG WILD " THIS FALL ON THE LA,LOL. I WAS UNSURE IF IT WAS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE WITH SUCH GOOD PRICES, YOU'VE ALL HELPED ME DECIDE,THANKS MUCH.

Hi Kim, Ronda lives near me. I have known her since 1993. At least 70% of my daylilies have come from her garden through the years. She is a very hard working lady and takes very good care of her plants. She will do her best to make sure that you are happy with any sale that she does. Whether it be selling at the auction or digging at her garden, she wants her customers to be satisfied.
She is one of the best!!
I hope that you get plants next spring from Kinston, AL!!
