Frosty flowers encased in snow.....the end has come

I wanted to share these photos of what I woke up to this morning. Now there is a bigger snowstorm heading this way for tomorrow night. UGH. I am in the band which calls for 6-plus inches of snow. It looks ridiculous when there are still some leaves left on the trees and some flowers were still blooming. (Not to mention that it isn't even Halloween yet). My growing season is officially over and I'm pretty sad about that, but I am grateful that it lasted as long as it did. (I did take some photos earlier in the week prior to the snow, and will share them this weekend.) It got down into the lower 20's so everything was killed by the hard freeze. Adios, flowers.

When I woke up, the sun was shining on the snow and it looked pretty even if I hate it...LOL

View out my kitchen window

roses encased in snow.....

rosebushes bending over from the heavy, wet snow

daylilies in their beds, not looking too comfy...LOL

'Buttered Popcorn' had a couple blooms open and wishes it

had been planted somewhere down South....

I have to admit, the trees did look pretty all covered in snow...(I'm trying to look on the bright side here, since more snow is coming)

the roses are toast now that they have frozen....

Look at all that snow on my steps....

'Country Doctor' almost looks unharmed by the cold
