September 11 -13 blooms

We had a severe thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon which knocked out our power, phone and DSL. Power came back after a few hours. After 2 days of trying to get our phone and DSL back on and much frustration with our provider, we are back up and running again. Forecast calls for another storm tonight. Hope it isn't anything like Sunday's. How much we depend on our modern conveniences.

Here are some bloom pics I took over the last couple of days.Still more scapes are appearing and the one I want to see of the doubles is just about ready to open.

CANYON COLORS - looks like it has one or two more blooms yet to open.

ITZA PINK TEDDY - almost done

{{gwi:965220}}

KIOWA SUNSET - just started opening on the new scapes it sent up.

SOMETHING MARVELOUS - first bloom on the new scape it sent up. Still a trooper.

OTTIS MAGIC - on rebloom

{{gwi:965224}}

WORTH IT ALL - finishing up but still 1 or 2 more buds to open in the back garden.

WREN'S SONG - last blooms

And one of my favorite canna started blooming on the 11th.

MAUDIE MALCOLM - a nice pink. Short this year but I think it is because I replanted too late.I still love it. Second pic shows more of the flowers open.

Our temps are suppose to dip down to 60's (daytime) by the end of the week but doesn't look like it will stay that way for the long term. Nice break and great gardening weather.

Time to catch up on the forums.

Julia
