I find that I prefer to use VF-11 as a folier feed, you can also use a weak feeding of something else but it would be overkill. Since you have a soiless mix, use VF-11 in place of the other fertilizer. Also neem oil is not a fertilizer, so you can use it, however if you do use VF-11 alone it makes the plant stronger an less susceptable to disease and insects so you'll end up using less and less.

Truthfully, spraying birds always enhances their plumage...with just cool water...but, as Eleanor tested the VF-11 on hundreds of birds..she said many of the birds were nearly bald...losing feathers...which is either due to a pest, a nutritional deficiency or being plucked by other more aggressive birds...and all the bald ones regrew their feathers...within a couple of weeks. I, in all honesty, believe that this happened because, when wet, birds will "preen" their feathers...and when preening their feathers, they get the ingredients of VF-11 in their system...and this helps to compensate for nutritional inadequacies. So, I don't think it'd help Denise's hair, unless she was to spray her hands with VF-11 and lick the moisture off...or, more easily, drink a mixture of water and VF-11...it surely wouldn't harm anyone...and quite likely would cause some improvements. Birds LOVE to be sprayed...they're very meticulous about their feathers...so, I sprayed mine today...they love being sprayed...then they spent 30 minutes preening their feathers...so, the VF-11 got into their system. None of my parrots are bald, so I don't expect to see any dramatic improvements...but, I do believe they'll perk up just because they love the attention they're receiving!! The birds that Eleanor tested were, obviously, deficient in certain nutrients...VF-11 wouldn't stop other birds from plucking them, nor would VF-11 rid the birds' feathers of pests, i.e., mites. Eleanor believes that indoor pets miss out on a lot of necessary nutrition due to being indoors....she stated the importance of animals and birds of being exposed to "dew". I always assumed that dew was just water...but, Eleanor believes it contains nutrients. So, I learned something new!! To make this more of a "hoya" subject...don't forget to spray your hoyas once you've finished spraying your birds!! LOL Fondly, Patrick

In the meantime, if you serch for Eleanor's, somewhere on that site is listed their location where one can write (w/ $3 for shipping) & they send a smaple bottle (not small, let me check, 8 oz.). Many of my Hoyas are bursting w/ new growth: Obovata, oldest Kerrii + its 2 progeny, Lacunosa, DavidCummingi, several Crassipes. No sign of bloom yet, but I'm hopeful! My Ceropegia woodii just had its first bloom, pretty, odd bloom, not super exciting, but I'm hoping the Hoyas will have seen the bloom & get inspired!

I like VF-11 better than regular fertilizers, so yes, I would recommend it. As for your kerrii, it's hard to say what the problem is. If it's budding up, that doesn't necessarily mean it's ok as it's not uncommon for a failing plant to flower in kind of a last ditch effort to seed and live on that way. If it's drooping, I'd say it's not taking up water, so I would repot it. Kerrii has a pretty hefty root system, so if it's in a tiny pot, it may just need more room. Denise in Omaha
