Very nice cuttings Golden....lucky you. I think the way you potted them up is good. I usually cut the longer cuttings into a few pieces because it makes them a bit more manageable and for insurance. I find that quite often some of the cuttings don't make it. I buy the 2' tall bamboo hoops from Home Depot and wrap my long cuttings and new growth around them. With new growth it's a good idea to make sure the growing tip points up otherwise I find that they often stop growing. It's okay to wrap them around later when they've stopped growing or when they're long enough to end up pointing upwards. Here's a picture of cummingiana on a hoop. I often add a bamboo stick to the center of the hoop just to give it a bit more stability.

I think your pubicalyx with the splashier leaves is called pubicalyx 'Splash'.

Sandy, I do have one of those bamboo hoops but I thought - If i put it on that, I cant get it in my aquarium for rooting? I thought the extra humidity from the aquarium would help in rooting? So do you think I should take it out and re-set it up on a bamboo hoop. I also thought if I use the bamboo hoop the pot might have to be a tad bigger in order for me to use it? You guys know more than me - Im definitely new to this - so open to any suggestions to help me out! Golden

Actually I spoke too soon. The bamboo hoop fits perfectly - I guess I should have tried it first - lol. Thanks for that. I just hope it roots without my aquarium humidity. I usually like to start them in there. Anyways heres a photo of the pink silver redone on the hoop. Is that better?

It looks good Golden. If you're worried about the humidity you could always put a bag over top or put the pot into a bag and tie it loosely over top. I find pubicalyx roots easily. I find bottom heat always helps if you have a heat mat.

I just go over to photobucket(obviously you must have an account there) - download my photo - once my photo is downloaded in photobucket - I click on the actual photo I want to use - and on the right hand side there is a box that says "share this image" - you left click the html code - and a little box comes up copied - then you go over to your message and right click the paste - and the html code should be displayed on your message. Click your preview on the bottom of the page and you should have your photo. Give it a try! Hope this helps.(By the way your cummingiana is Gorgeous!!) Golden

That was my cummingiana shortly after I got it. Then it started growing really long and leggy. I finally put it in the solarium in direct sun. The newer growths are more like they should be but the plant isn't as attractive with long sections near the bottom with no leaves. It has nice flowers though.

A great start to a Hoya collection. I got Hoya pubicalax 'Pink Silver' as one of my first cuttings and it took a few years to flower but it is a great plant, you will be very happy with your two varieties.

Golden, very nice cuttings you got there, I also do what you did...I cut long cuttings into several pieces so the pot looks fuller. If I have long vines, I try to wrap it around some type of trellis or stick or use the orchid clips.
