Pretty blooms you've seen before......(pix)

I've posted photos of these before, but some of you expressed the desire to see new photos so here are a few for you.

Just for Rita because she really, really needs this one. :)

This photo of Mountain Almond was taken about 8 PM yesterday. The temperature and humidity was unbearable here so you can see how well it holds up.

Someone was asking about pinks that are always pink...this one is for me, Southern Mistress.

A bright one that lots of you liked.

A pretty pair of twins.

A strange bloom on Whitney Suzanne, I've never seen her do this before but I like it.

A nice clump of Double Dinette.

And for someone who asked about SOA being consistent for me, another near perfect bloom.

I do, I do need that one!!! I have put SOUTH SEAS on my must get list for next spring.

Now I know many of you have very long wishlists but this is the short list for me. Not really that much on it.

SOUTH SEAS, both the picture and the daylily, is just so very, very pretty. Like those others too!

I've ordered South Seas for delivery in September and I'm so glad! I must also add Mountain Almond to my wish list. Beautiful pictures, every one of them. Thanks for sharing.

Chuck, it got down to 32 the other night here in Kentucky and the tomato plants made it through fine in the makeshift greenhouse. By the time I was outside at 7:30am it was nippy, but I didn't see any frost on anything. According to my photo journal from last year we got a hard freeze on April 14th 2008, so I'm not convinced we're 'out of the woods' yet. My photos showed me trying to cover tomato plants IN THE GROUND with pieces of old carpet, C2 Christmas string lights and loose straw. That was a pain to setup, but it worked. If we should have a freeze like that anytime soon I will simply add the string of lights to the patio table's support ring above the tomato plants. Those old style C2 Christmas lights put out some fair heat.

I actually like to see flowers repeated myself so that I can see if they are consistant. But some here I take lots of pictures of because they are favorites and/or because they are easy to get to. Others are in more difficult spots for pictures and most often get passed by. Yes, I can easily see them but not as easily get close enough or at the correct angle for a good picture. RICH IN MERCY does very well and still a nice color at the end of a hot day. Not as deep as in the morning but never ugly washed out either. And in this heat everything needs to be taken in the morning as it is just too hot during the day and many daylilies do melt or fade.

Did anyone mention Dudley Moore in "10"?!?!? (besides my first GF Bo Derrik...;-)) G(D that was funny! When he's mumbling with his mouth packed full after the dentist... The "I'll alert the media" comment from the butler, when he's gonna take a bath... The "Airplane" series... Johnny saying, "WHERE did you get those shoes...and that dresss, Ohhh!" to the distraught woman. Zoolander, Dodgeball...good stuff! "Oh my god, they're Break-dance fighting!" The Money Pit... When Tom Hanks is "caught" in the ceiling?!?!? (I think I almost "went" when that scene happened!) Beverly Hills Cop I was pretty damn funny too. Faron

I was invited to the wedding of friend's sister, along with another friend of ours. The bride was a pretty obnoxious, spoiled brat but we were very good friends with her brother and kind of felt sorry for her because she didn't really have any friends and wanted the biggest wedding she could have. The ceremony itself was fine but when we got to the reception, the MOB set my friend and me to work bartending. We were horribly embarassed (and had no idea how to bartend) but we muddled through it. What made it even more embarassing was when the MOB insisted on paying us at the end of the night. I have no idea where she got the idea that we were there to tend bar but suspect the bride had something to do with it. As an example of how the bride's brain worked (or not) we visited her home a while later. I was helping her with something in the kitchen and noticed a bunch of tiny labels sticking off of a windowsill. When I asked her what they were doing there, she said that her parents had given her some Waterford glassware they had gotten on a trip to Ireland. When she served guests she wanted everyone to know they were Waterford so she would leave the labels on the glasses, then take them off before washing them and then put them back on.

They are all beautiful,but my favorite one is this SEAL OF APPROVAL Gosh thats a beauty.Keep posting photos.i am loving all of them.

Mountain Almond holds up a lot better than I would. I don't go to the garden during this heat. Love MA and of course SS.

Looks like great rebloom on Double Dinette.

Sea Of Approval is my favorite of the group. Just planted mine this spring, but will have to wait till next year to see a first bloom.
Also love your 'South Seas', another one I planted this year, and will have to wait for a year to see it perform.

Jan, it doesn't matter whether you have posted them or not. I still enjoy seeing them and at my age, I probably don't remember that I saw them before and even if I did remember, I just enjoy them again. After all, can you eat just one piece of chocolate or one potato chip? We enjoy seeing beautiful daylilies any time. Thanks.
