Many of us have ever growing wish lists of daylilies we simply have to have, and more get added each time someone posts pics of the daylilies they are growing in their garden. Hope you'll share pics and comments on the ones you have.

By the way ......do you know about the Lily Auction? Just thought I'd get that out of the way now as opposed to later. :-) It's a wonderful resource for buying the daylilies you like at pretty fair prices. I posted the link below.

Welcome florabundance to our favorite place on the internet otherwise know as the gardenweb daylily forum. Stay and become one of our regulars and get the daylily crazies just like the rest of us here.

Your going to have a challenge in your zone to find daylilies that are truely hardy. If you get alot of snow cover (stays the entire winter) that makes it easier on the daylilies) If not much more challenging.

I have a bunch I could send you because I need to make room for others or because they just aren't my taste. Email me.

I hope you'll have fun here, I love it. Everyone is very helpful and full of advice. And wonderful pictures that will have you wanting and needing more.

Get yourself a spreadsheet started. Your going to need it to keep track of all the eye candy you'll find yourself 'needing' . I believe when I first found this forum last year, I had a wish list of roughly 200 varieties. I have since aquired 50 or so from that list and my 'need list is up to about 400 or so!!!!!!LOL!!!!!!
I keep it in spreadsheet form now so It's easier to keep track. I realize the only way I'll get them all is to win the lottery but A girl does need something to dream about all winter.

Welcome, Jean! I just joined the forum here this year and you are going to love the people here. They are so helpful and never make you feel like you have asked a dumb question.

We love to see peoples garden shots, even if they aren't daylilies. So if you have any, please post them.

I have never gone to the Lily Auction, but I've heard tell that it is very addictive. Those that are just love to influence new people to join them in this madness:), just kidding. I actually love auctions and am afraid I couldn't control myself!

I will definitely post some pics... that is when I figure out how to do it. I tried on another forum and all I got was those lil squares with the red X in them! LOL... shamefully I used to be an administrator on another forum(different hobby) and did it all the time... so not sure what I am doing that isn't agreeing with the computer gods!

Yesterday I came home from work and there was a box of.... DAYLILIES!!! njmomma was generous and sent me some of her plants to give me a little variety! I set them in some water and today They will get settled in their new homes!

I stayed off of the daylily auction until very recently and made up for lost time.

There are some really generous, knowledgeable people here (me I'm dtill a relative newby) so enjoy and have fun!

Welcome Jean!! I am not young either!! That does not stop the addiction of wanting another daylily. You will come across much information here. And the pictures shared are beautiful.
A new daylily for me makes me feel good!! Feeling good is much better for me than thinking things that can make me feel sad.
