Cilantro ? Parsley ? and Thai Basil ?

I have a Thai Basil plant which died. (I forgot about it and turned the AC off in my sunroom). Can I keep the seeds and replant them? Can I replant them now if I plan to grow the Basil in my kitchen? Just take them right off the dead dried up plant and germinate the seeds right now?

My curled parsley which was kept inside, also died/dried-up from the heat in my sunroom. It's organic, and if I'm not mistaken, comes back year after year? Does that mean if I just water the dead plant it'll come back to life? How do you get seed from parsley is what I'm wondering. If it had stayed alive, it would go to seed eventually - is that what happens?

Can I grow Cilantro (by seed) this time of the year? Outside and/or inside?

Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm getting confused with planting plants and planting seeds and also planting in the house, and planting outdoors. If indoors, I can start herbs anytime, right?

I should mention that my home has no south-facing window for morning sun.

Thanks for helping me, I had no idea growing food was so complicated! I want to eventually learn to plant only non GM seeds and save my seeds for replanting.
