I love the look of OLALLIE MACK with all the different shading in it. I'm sure there is a name for that, but the AHS site just says "pink self".

Rita, do the scapes of OLALLIE MACK seem to not be able to hold up the blooms? I have NOEL WESTON and it seems like the scapes just didn't support the blooms this year. I have had NW for 4 summers now and I don't remember it doing this before, but maybe it did and I just didn't notice.

Anyway, I was wondering why a hybridizer would register a daylily that exhibits this trait. Maybe it's just the difference between where it was hybridized and where I live. Or maybe it was just not something that was too important 30 years ago when NW was registered. Just rambling thoughts, lol. At least you have something blooming!!

Vickie, I don't know, I don't have NOEL WESTON. The scapes on OLALLIE MACK do lean some for me but no big deal here. It holds up the blooms. I have other leaners in that row were it is planted so I guess it just fits in LOL!

The little gladiolas come in a rainbow of colors, I just love when they bloom.

Wow, my Glamini Glads quit blooming a long time ago. Yours looks gorgeous as do the daylilies!!

Glads are so bright, I never grew them and had no idea they bloom in August.
I like the second picture, with 4 blooms of Last Chance FR and the one of closeup of Olallie Mack.

I stagged the planting of my glads so that the blooms would not come all at once. Some I planted much later than others. It will not work next year though as they will all come up in the spring pretty much at the same time.

Vickie and I are on the same page with Ollalie Mack. Love the subtle colors combined in that one. I thought it might have been called a polychrome but I don't know if that is right or not. Last Chance For Romance is looking good, and Stella Forever makes a bright spot. Glamini glads are darling!! Avedon

Olallioe Mack is a nice peach shade, and Last Chance For Romance is a bodacious bloomer, isn't it, Rita? It just bloomed it last couple two days ago here. It is very impressive.

Kay, You know LAST CHANCE FOR ROMANCE is a very favorite daylily of mine.

Olallie Mack is really pretty, but I love the color on Last Chance for Romance. Your glads are gorgeous! Mine have all finished blooming now.

My glads will be earlier next year as I planted them late this year.

Olallie Mack is very pretty,and so is your Glads.I plantws some mii glads maybe 5 to 6 yrs ago, Din't like them,and pulled them out,and I am always seeing one pop up some where,and I jerk it out too,My young daughter been planting them at her house,when I pull them out here,I just seen another one popped up today.They not as pretty as yours.Mine was yellow with red eyes in them.They wouldnt stand up and was laying on my daylilies, so I jerked them out.

Jean these Glamini Glads come in so many really pretty colors just like the larger flowered Glads do today. I know there are other types of smaller glads that don't come in all these colors. Mine don't come up all over either. Yours must have been a different type.
