You seem to have had good success with Ledgewood Firecracker. Too early to tell here, but I certainly hope mine will do well. It takes a few seasons to evaluate something. Is there some unwritten rule about how many lilies one should post at a time? I would just as soon see around 10 if I am looking at a post--assuming they are all interesting. It depends too on how long it takes to scroll down. If the pictures are large, then 10 is a lot of scrolling.

Gorgeous picture of Artic Lace with the twin blooms. And I love the way the zinnias have snuck into the picture of Guiding Radiance. Late bloomers are always good and Bear Claws is certainly a hot one. The lovely trio of Forsyth's Garrett Mason gets my vote for favorite.

mantis, there is no rule about numbers, but my season started so early and I have posted for such a long time this season that I feel guilty when I put up a lot...(you'll notice it doesn't keep me from posting :) And LF was a little slow to get a perfect bloom this year...very unusual for it, but it has roared on from there. I have had instant rebloom, then another scape after a delay.

Always Lovely and south Seas have rebloom scapes now.

Rita, I probably didn't post the best shot of Arctic , since it is a triple bloom...and they all open perfectly, there is never any of that "help me open please" to them...and to be so fancy on the edges, that is a fine trait.

This one clearly shows the three, but I didn't take a photo that did it justice.

Rita, I must confess I have been on the auction again...and I alread had ten new ones coming, but I have cleared a little bit of room, so that is good. DH even talks about how pretty the daylilies have been this year.

I did look on the Lily Auction over the 4th of July Weekend but before that I hadn't been there for months and months and months. But I didn't stay there too long as I didn't want to find something that I just had to have.

I see the way it is going with you, any new space cleared by moving something out is very quickly going to be used up by new purchases. And somehow I think there will be more new ones coming in than old ones going out.

I am trying to find ones to move out of here myself but I am not having too much sucess with that. I just know there will be 2012 intros that I really want from those favorite hybridizers of mine so I am going to have to try harder top find some "rejects".

Yes, this is a problem in my garden too. Something has to go for something that comes in. That disciplines me in the number of new purchases. I would like to know that a new purchase has performed well for someone else; that's how this forum can help.

My comment meant to say that I didn't think it was too many, that I like to see about 10. I wondered why you said there were too many, whether there was some unwritten rule, since I usually post around 10 at a time.

Kay, I can't comment on your daylilies because the pictures are gone, but I would like to comment on the issue of 'too many'. I love seeing everyone's pictures, but after a certain number (I don't know if it's 10 or 15 or how many), it becomes overload and I can't absorb any more. So, to me it isn't a matter of the poster 'hogging' too much cyberspace, it's a matter of how many can the reader evaluate and enjoy all at once. Also, when I am replying to a post, I usually end up scrolling up and down and looking at the pictures more than once, and with 'too many' this becomes a lot of scrolling. Having said all of this, I think that all of you who have hundreds of daylilies have incredible self-control.

I love them all for being late or reblooming, plus they are all beautiful! I'll pick Garret Mason once again for a favorite.

I really like the picture of Arctic Lace. I have several similar to that one, refuse to get any more. Although Jean's Wonder of it All tempts me with all the blooms she has been getting. I've heard good things about Arctic Lace too. I know, more than you needed to know :) That said, my favorites are Cup of Cold Water & Spanish Fiesta.

I appreciate all of you still looking since I have been posting a while. I am not posting any today although I always take pictures. I may post some of today's pics tomorrow since my grandson was here digging and he has the expanded fishpond close to being a reality. He was a very hard worker today. I am impressed with how much he accomplished.
