Feverfew: Short-lived perennial to about 1.5 metres high and about 60cm wide. Feathery leaves, and many small, single or double, white flowers with yellow centres in summer and autumn. An aroma faintly resembling that of Chamomile.

It will self-seed readily, especially in cold climates, and can become quite invasive.

Will grow in most soils, prefers rich well-drained soil pH6.5-pH7, and in most positions, prefers part shade. Cut plants back after flowering to keep them in shape. Remove flowerheads to minimise self-seeding. Feverfew is frost hardy. It will grow in full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate very poor, dry soil. Becomes woody with age, so prune every year, replace every few years. May die off one season in drought conditions, but will return the following spring. Do not overwater in winter, and try to keep it warm. The plant is best replaced every few years.

I keep mine in a pot in full sun in winter, partial shade in summer (in the subtropics). I try to keep up with the flower-removal, but it still self-seeds amongst the concrete pavers! If your climate is cooler, you'll need to watch it before it takes over!

It gets fairly tall at least over 4'.... and apparently, it spreads, though it didn't spread here in sacramento.

Yikes! Over 4' tall!! Think I may have to find a different place for a couple of these plants. I love the look of the flowers, any idea when it will start blooming?

No... everything here is late, due to the rains.

i snip the tops of mine off (around now) to keep it from getting too tall and flopping over. it blooms a bit later, but it stays bushier that way. nothing seems to kill this stuff.

My feverfew is not that tall growing to about 16" and bushy. It is growing in full southern exposure in a rather sandy/gravelly bed ..Some sources say they can get to 24-36". I believe it's called Feverfew 'Flore Pleno' and reportedly it's doesn't produce too many viable seed. The blooms seem to last forever.
