I have to agree with mad gallica above. I am growing mine in the ground because I always had a problem overwintering them in containers indoors (during the winter). Mine always ended up looking dried up and sick looking as a containerized plant. In the ground (in zones 6b/7+), they need a coarse, excellent well-draining soil--especially with cold/WET winters. But they look much better in the ground even after winter than they ever looked in a container for me. I would transplant to a larger container as your ceramic container is probably drying out too quickly. My soil is fairly moist but I have them in raised beds for the drainage--along with the lavender.

I have a lot of Prostrate Rosemary all over my gardens. They do get bare in the middle and all green on the ends when they are older. WHen you say yours is larger I'm not sure what that means. You could try just taking off 1/3 of the growth and see if you'll get new growth back along the stems. In my experience, Rosemary gets "old" after only a couple of years. When planted in the ground: As the limbs grow longer they lay on the ground, put out roots and make new plants; the center can get pretty ugly. I cut away the newer plants and hack-out the older middle. I don't know how you handle this when it's in a pot.... perhaps Bonsai it.

Don't - glyphosate (Roundup) is a systemic herbicide, meaning that any plant it touches will die (unless, of course, the plant has been genetically engineered for glyphosate resistance). If the bermuda is growing up inside the rosemary plant, you won't be able to apply glyphosate or any other herbicide selectively enough to avoid killing the rosemary. I'd recommend cutting off and/or digging out as much of the bermuda as you can for now, and then replacing the soil in the affected planter at the end of the season.

this happened to me too. i have mine in a pot so i kept turning it to try and get good sun on all sides like to drove me crazy my husband made fun of me, going out there every 4 hours and turning a plant, like it was some sort of steak on the pit or something LOL after enough of his laughter, i decided, "to heck with it" and just left it be i've noticed a bit of new growth, but did place it so that the "sick" side gets the best sun for the longest, and left it at that isn't it funny what we do to save our babies tesa
