Heavenly Gardens pictures from a recent visit

My husband and I toured some of the Ohio hybridizers gardens during the Northern Mecca this month. Sorry but I did not get many names on the daylilies! I will give them if I have it :)

THANKS for looking, guys. I like all forms of daylilies and I was in heaven in that place! Even though they are simple in their form, they have so much color and grace. I guess I am not picky about flowers in general...I haven't met a flower I didn't like. To me, they all have their own special charm...just like people! Val, the last one was my favorite too! It is indeed a cochleanthes, Lip Blush - primary cross (amazonica 'White Face' HCC/AOS x candida 'Cole' CBM/AOS)..Love it as it is my very first orchid...My husband gave it to me on Valentine's day in , boy, 2002...I think 2002. We were dating back then :) The first one. I think it is Blc. Volcano Blue. Lynne, fourth picture. I bought it in Home Depot as a rhizome of Hedychium densiflorum, but I do not think it is densiflorum. Lovely ginger, with the fragrance of honeysuckle, citrus, and something else... Evelyn, that is great that you have lotus babies...I have a lot more seeds...I am thinking of making a bog garden just for lotus. Felix, thank you! I believe tropical water lilies should survive here no problem. I bought mine from a friend who lives in Riverview - he has grown his outside for years. Sorry these are coming out huge! Jamie Gossard's gardens and daylilies are just beautiful. I swear I have never seen such large, tall daylilies like his and his wifes. I was in awe! He is a very pleasant guy and terrific host if you get a chance to meet and walk the gardens with him. wish I could have taken better pictures. These just do not do them justice :)

Ah! I found more pictures with the names. # 1 I have listed as Morpho Butterfly and # 5 as Supergirl :) Thanks Mantis for the name of # 6!

Really nice, I love that last pic with the girl surrounded by lots of DLs. First one is pretty and looks nice there with the lilies. I saw 'ho butter' on the tag there and got curious what could the whole name be, and it's Morpho Butterfly! :)

Terrific tour. Those huge rows of daylilies are amazing. I can only imagine all the work involved in keeping them so tidy.
