Well, Abilne Lillian put out it's first bloom. Disappointing, but it is a first. It has red, not the hot pink, and that may be what it is here, time will tell. the form wasn't great either:

Ledgewood's Jungle Music had its first re-bloom today. Hmmm. let's see .Wait three years to bloom then re-bloom:

Lucky Stripes is still blooming:

And I have to keep Mary Jane's Wild Rose Petals since DH decided he liked it:

Vulcan Logic has started re-blooming:

Heavenly Angel Ice doesn't know when to stop blooming:

And the daisys are blooming away:

Kay, Hopefully Abilne Lillian will improve for you.I don't think it looks bad at all,Looks a lot like hillbilly heart, to me. I like the color of Lucky Stripes, not the form that well, but the color is gorgeous.well, I like Mary Jane's Wild Rose Petals , too. and them dasies are very pretty as well.. I have to soon got out in the heat and water everything again. I waterevery day,and it don't look like they ever get a drink here.its so hot and dry.

I really like Lucky Stripes and Heavenly Angel Ice - I just got HAI a couple of weeks ago, looking forward to seeing it bloom here next year. Your daisies look so fresh and nice! Love them.

You're only suppose to use the print postage for the day it is being mailed. If you print postage for the box you are sending and then print postage for the same amount to include for your return the PO can and probably will refuse it. I had someone send me preprinted postage sticker dated for the day they purchased it and I asked the Postmaster if I could use the stamp to send it package back, they told me no and the reason is: if you purchase the postage preprinted their way of thinking is that it is THEN used because it is supposed to only be good the day of purchase. It is best to send stamps in the amount you need, the have all different ones: 3.95, 4.95, up to I THINK they told me 16.95. OR you could just get 1.00 ones then add the smaller amounts to get the total you need. Tammy, Carmen, Amy....I am sorry but I am such a ditzoid. You know how when you tell yourself NOT to forget something over and over and over, and THEN you usually forget anyway? Well when I was packing plants Monday all day I kept telling myself NOT to forget the Thalia, well I was out watering today and I realized I forgot the Thalia. SOOOOOO if we are in another swap together I will remember I owe you all some and include it then, even if we get partnered in a swap or something I will remember to include it. I am sorry, I haven't been feeling well and I wanted to make sure I got that package shipped Monday and I busted my hinny off to do it and my SO even helped me this time which just does NOT happen. It just slipped my mind by the time I had the box what I thought was ready to ship, UPS closes at 6:30 and I got there about 6:10 so I was pushing it. I KNOW I had till Wednesday to ship but I needed to do it Monday. OK, don't hurt me, I really do try so hard sometimes. :/ Fran

Catlady15, PB is correct that you should be asking yoru dr these questions. Normally your gullbladder stores and releases bile, which was made in the liver, after you eat a meal that contains fat. The bile helps you digest the fat. After your surgery your liver and area around where your gulbladder used to be, will hurt if you eat foods rich in fat. so as your dr probably said, you should stay off fat for awhile. you should never feel bad if you are doing something like not eating high fat foods when you are recovering from gullbaldder surgery. this is your health and it is more important than pleaseing someone. you just need to explain to your family that right now you can't eat high fat diet for medical reasons. i am sure they will understand. Like i started out saying, you should talk to your doctor for a post surgery consultation and check up. make a list of questions you have before you go for that visit, but dont wai to see the dr. best of luck

Patti. So sorry to hear about all your mishaps. Hope your feeling better soon, if not better see the doc. It seems like when it rains, it pours. I was not as lucky as you getting your dryer fixed with a cheap repair. Our lawnmower took a c..p two weeks ago, was not going to be a cheap fix, it would be well over 500.00 to get it up and running again, and that didn't include labor which our son could do for us but hubby thought we should just get a new one, other one was 9 years old. I hated to, I hate spending big money. Oh well I guess that's how it goes. Hope the weekend goes better for you. Big hugs.

I have hesitated to post here because I have been mid-remodel longer than most of you have been alive...(ok maybe a two year remodel isn't that long...) anyhoo, I finally feel, that since we're six weeks or so away from completition, may be I can post in the mid-remodel groups thread :oP Tile guy finished the shower and floor (this is an entire house remodel, from bottom to top, adding a bathroom and moving many walls and soffits). So my master actually looks somewhat like a bathroom and my evil plans are actually coming to fruition (I used crocodile tile and I both worried about it and loved it...now everyone loves it) :oP The deck of the soaking tub can't be finished until we get the circle cut in the tiles (since the last tile guy lost part of the circle we had cut earlier). There's on guy in the state who cuts these circles...it's a pain! So that room can't have cabinets or anything until the deck is finished since they butt up against the tub (which is 36" high). So tile guy is heading down to the family bathroom, which after THREE tubs that leaked, is finally plumbed with a new jacuzzi tub (I will never try to save money with american standard AGAIN!) I should have just dropped a couple grand in the first place instead of giving it to the plumbers. That room will likely be finished this week :) The powder room floor is done and the toilet set, but still waiting for parts to actually work. (The old plumbers didn't know how to install so they cut the expensive pipes down to shorter pipes and installed the "high tank" very low on the wall). But it's the only room that's actually plastered, so it looks to be "done" almost. I will finish the move out this week on Friday, but between then and today I will get the first couple of coats of venetian plaster on the hood wall in the kitchen (a bear to reach if I don't do it now...since there's less than 12" in the gap...once trimmed out...my butt won't fit) :oP Next week our finish carpenter is ours full time, so while I'm gone, he'll be laying down the layout, repairing the floor and finally setting cabinets! When I get back I might feel like I have a kitchen. ANd hopefully I will have new granite and marble by then. (The previous slabs I purchased in full were sold so I have to start over). All in all...we feel so good about seeing work actually happen. We can see that we'll actually get to live in our home again someday! Hopefully for a few months before we have to move out to a bigger home when we have child number two :oP But we'll cross that bridge later I guess!

Too bad about ABILENE LILLIAN . Sure looks like it would be a pretty bloom.
HEAVENLY ANGEL ICE would be my pick. Seems to do so well in so many different gardens.

You know I love Vulcan Logic, and how nice that it reblooms for you. I need to hear more about Abilene Lillian. I LOVE that eye. I don't know what you call it when the midribs look like they've made the eye streak, but it's beautiful.

I think Abilene Lillian looks fine for a first bloom. I'd give anything if mine would give me a bloom, any bloom. I thought the eye and edge were a rosy red. Vulcan Logic and Lucky Streak are looking great!

Lucky Stripes and Heavenly Angel Ice are my favorites too. Abilene Lillian looks like it could be beautiful soon. If all my daylilies looked like their first bloom I would have a much easier time downsizing.

Thanks, jean. It is a first bloom, and the plant has put up three scapes, so we'll see how it goes. I hate that you've had to water all summer when so many of us are getting rain galore.
Twixanddud Hope HAI does well for you.
Julia, I expect reds, but was hoping more for the rose on this one.
Chris, it has rebloomed the last two years. It is a pretty bloom when the thrips and slugs leave it alone.

Val, it will probably improve.
Thanks Mantis. A neighbor had just dropped off a lot of grapes, and I was already set to can pickles, so I was even more discombobulated than usual. I fixed it.

Lucky Stripes is my favorite, a very cheerful, happy daylily. Heavenly Angel Ice still didn't do that well in my garden. I'm going to move it & see if it does better. It is right beside my monsterous kiwi & I keep having to move the kiwi aside so HAI can get plenty of sun. The vine may be sucking all the nutrients from the soil too.
I had to look up Abilene Lillian to see what it is supposed to look like. Personally, I like the more red tone you are getting better, but I know how you feel when that first bloom doesn't look the way you wanted.
