how hot is too hot?: suggustions for hot gardens

I LOVE daylilies but it is SO hot here (St George, UT). It's been 105 degrees or more for 2 weeks and has been 110-115 for the past several days. It stays above 100 all summer and into the beginning of September. Low humidity though so it's still tolerable :).

I'd really like a daylily garden and what Im wondering is: How much heat will daylilies tolerate?

What are the best varieties for hot gardens? I can keep them watered, Im mostly worried about frying the little things.

Thanks for your responses!
