My new purchase today plus a cute pic

First, the cute one:

Our Ethiopian princess is holding Red Volunteer

Today I quickly stopped in the local nursery and got

BUTTERED POPCORN - I'm a sucker for a good name that fits the plant. It was on my wish list and it was on sale. 1 gallon pot with 4 fans, 4 scapes and some buds still left on it for $10. Sorry for the bad picture, but I was trying to get in the buds and the whole plant as well.

That is a cute pic and nice score on the plant.

I just saw some pitiful daylilies at Home Depot for $13.97. They were in ghastly shape.

BUTTERED POPCORN is very nice. Its an old standby but one of the great oldies but goodies.

I remember last summer when you were waiting to adopt, you seemed to be on pins and needles about it. Looks like it turned out very well.

I purchased them at Hall's Nursery in Jacksonville FL. The prices are the best I have ever seen, but they only carry Brown Turkey and Celeste. They really take great care of all the plants they stock. (If anyone is interested in buying some Prices $7.99-$14.99 (plus shipping))

Thanks all for your nice comments. Fancy Buttons is described as 5" across, but I think mine is more like four. As the day advances it opens up a little more so it might reach 5". I didn't get to see it later yesterday. I bought it directly from the Joiners. Their DLs seem to do well in my garden. I had to add that new photo of IF since each day it seems like there is always a quantity of blooms. I have it planted towards the front and you always notice it as you walk by. Thank you. Jane

Thanks, Jo. It seems a spring fever has come upon me, and I spent almost the entire weekend browsing hosta catalogs and reading posts and doing some research about hostahostahosta. So....what else is new with the rest of the forum? Don keeps his garden so perfect, my first impulse is to ask him, "How many gardeners do you employ full time to keep it that nice?" Mine will never be so lovely. Somewhere I seem to remember pictures of the massive construction of curbed bed borders and paved pathways of this garden. THAT is total dedication, and also self-knowledge....Don knows his interest in hosta is a life long affair. I have to admire the garden on all points.

So so cute! Brit is a look alike to our first dog "Bandit" we had for 16 years. A great dog. I miss him. They are going to be great buddies. I like the name!

Thanks Rita. She fits into our family very well! She'll be 2 in a few weeks and my husband brought her home in January.

I wanted Buttered Popcorn because I need more yellows and everyone says what a great bud count it has. Yay!

Congratulations on your adoption - your little Ethiopian princess is so beautiful!! My granddaughter just turned 2 July 20 - such a fun age (even with her occasional tantrum, lol!).

What beautiful eyes your princess has! And I see you are starting her off early with falling in love with the daylilies.

Buttered Popcorn did fantastic in my garden this year and was my top performer. It was also one of my best last year, even though I didn't get a bud count back then. And it's a great shade of yellow. And what a deal you got!!

Looks like you have a couple of great daylilies. I'm going to have to get Buttered Popcorn after all the good things I hear. I have Red mVolunteer and it's a great one.

She is too cute. I bet you guys are going to spoil her rotten :-) I would.
It's good to start a little one's interest early. My Granny got me started with the old ditch lily's when I was in Kindergarten. That was 30+ years ago.
