What Did You Discover?

This past winter I sowed some seeds of tricyrtis hirta - just to try something new. A few seeds sprouted, but something happened to all but one of them. In late spring I stuck the one survivor in a new raised bed and forgot about it. Not only did it survive but it is now covered with beautiful flowers that look like orchids. How come people don't rave about this plant? How have I never seen one before? Why aren't nurseries filled with them? It is gorgeous! And apparently easy to grow. I am going to grow more, more, more!

So what have you discovered this year? Please rave about it so the rest of us can know.
