Somehow it's just relaxing to watch Nature's critters going about their daily lives. And you put them all in focus for us. Please name some of the plants you post. Astilbe and delphiniums--a different climate. Indeed, it looks cooler just in the lushness of the green.

You have so much wonderful garden life. I can never get any pictures of the butterflies, bees or birds around here but I do have plenty. I don't have any chipmonks but they are so cute. Have plenty of squirrels though. Sometimes I get frogs in my pond but they always jump in and hide whenever I get close. So no frog pictures either :-( Your delphs and roses are gorgeous. Such a beautiful garden you have created. All the better to share it with your grandson.

Your pictures are wonderful! I love all the wildlife. Wish I could have roses like yours but it's too cold here.

I love all these photos! Connor is a cutie pie, and all three of your cats are beauties. All the wildlife pictures are fantastic. My favorite is the butterfly on that red daylily.

Well, this was fun! Love the chipmunk photos, and it looks like Fat Cat has eaten more than his fair share of them. Your Zeus looks like a Russian Blue.

My astilbes look nothing like yours. And I thought they were shade plants! Maybe that's my problem.

I forgot that I had wanted to say the kitties are all so beautiful. I am sure the chipmonks are happy if the cats just ignore them :-)

Connor is adorable, I bet he loves it in your beautiful garden, so much to see! Zeus, Nemo & Lily are beautiful, I bet they get some attention from Connor.

Love all of your photos, you have a very handsome Grandbaby and Nemo, Lily and Zeus are beautiful. Nemo reminds me of my Little Boy who is also a chubster he weighed in a 18 lbs the last time he was weighed.

Your butterfly pictures are gorgeous Celeste. I had so many butterflies to start with this year, but after the tornadoes, I have only had a few. It is good to see them.

Is Zeus a Korat? He is a gorgeous cat and reminds me so of a couple that I had. And they were the smartest cats I have ever seen. He is so beautiful! I would love to see him on a leash. Conner is adorable, there is nothing like Grands.

All of the flowers are lovely, and I know I gave all of the attention to Zeus and Nemo and Lily are very pretty too, but Ah! Zeus reminds me so of my babies.

Love all of your pictures of the wildlife and kitties.I very seldom see Butterflys here that has any size to them.Most of what comes around here, are really small yellow ones.The Chipmonks are so pretty.We dont have them here, just squirrels here.Lily is so pretty. Zeus is so pretty.I have had 2 cats that was grey like him,and they were spoiled rotten. I really like all of your pictures.

THANKS, all....I love sharing my pics with you & consider you all my newest best friends! I love how everyone on this forum is so nice and enthusiastic about each other's pictures.
I have to tell you that the chipmunks around here are plentiful and aren't afraid of me in the least. They will pop up out of their holes and sit there staring at me while I garden. They have tunnels in my rock walls and gardens everywhere. Oh my gosh, Linda! Fat Cat and Little Boy were separated at birth...LOL. They look like brothers. That is hysterical, especially since they're both enormous...haha.

Kay...I could go on and on about my ZEUS. That cat is not a cat, he is a BABY. I have loved many, many pets in my years but have never been loved the way I have from Zeus. Not only is he the smartest cat...(er, baby)...but he is the most loving and devoted. The thing is, I don't know his pedigree. Many, many people have told me he is a Russian Blue and I have googled it and it does seem to fit. But then you mentioned Korat and I just googled that, and that seems possible too. Whatever he is (and I doubt he is purebred) he is priceless. He came to me by way of my oldest daughter who had gotten him as a 3-week old kitten when she lived in Florida. The people were irresponsible
and had litters of kittens everywhere and took them away from their mamas too soon. She had to feed him with an eyedropper he was so tiny. She never saw the mother (or father). My daughter couldn't keep him where she's living so she gave him to me to 'babysit'. Three years later and even though she's my child, she knows I will fight her to the death if she tries to take him...LOL.

What I do know is that Zeus is special. He loves to play and never tires of that. He can jump up higher than I could ever see a cat jump. He is double-pawed (7 toes) and can catch a moth by jumping into the air and clapping his big paws shut. He sleeps curled up around my head every night.
I have fibromyalgia and don't sleep well....so when I awake and get up to stretch, then lay back down I hold Zeus's paw...and when I wake up in the morning we are often still holding hands! I can tell you that he has the softest fur imaginable and it doesn't shed. He also is constantly grooming himself and is immaculate. His fur actually glistens like diamonds in the sun. He is such a clean freak that he cleans the other cats! Also, he is very quiet and very serene. He has to be with me every minute of the day and I just love that. Can you tell I love him? Once my husband and I went away for a one-night romantic rendevous and you know what?
I couldn't sleep! Because Zeus wasn't there curled up around my head on my pillow! Now DH jokes that I should have taken Zeus on the trip and left him at home!
It is a family joke that if the house caught fire, they all better fend for themselves 'cuz I'll be saving Zeus first!
He is with me every minute of the day, so I can't imagine my life without him. He loves it when I take his beautiful face in my hands and stroke his face...he gazes into my eyes. He is such a joy in my life! I wanted to share these pictures of him with you....

Those paws are amazing. I've seen six-toed cats, but never one with seven. His fur looks so shiny in the last pic, unlike the Russian Blues I've seen. Maybe Kay is on to something.

Wonderful pics of butterflies and bees! I usually see 1-2 big beautiful butterflies during the summer, but this year I see several pretty dragonflies. I tried to take a pic but they all came out blurry, yet the pic of japanese bettles devouring the rose looks perfect (perfectly ugly).
We have chipmunks or ground squirrels not sure which ones here too.
Love your cats and very much enjoyed reading about Zeus! I didn't even know that they can have 6 or more toes.

Wonderful pics. Love garden kitties. :) I never get that close to butterflies and don't have chipmunks. They are cuter than my fox squirrels which aren't even native here but have invaded.

I use an Olympus Stylus-9000 but I'm just a point and shoot type. It came with a very detailed manual to all it's functions and it just confused the heck out of me....technology is not my thing apparently...LOL. I know I could take better pictures if I actually knew how to use it!
