No, not a drop. Those big storms came so close too. And same with the day before and the day before that. The storms come close but not close enough.

Ditto here. I live in Lilburn and I could smell the rain, but didn't get a drop. So why am I still buying more plants? It's definitely an addiction.

Thanks for the update, Quirky. I live in Gwinnett and have been buying extra soaker hoses just in case. I figure I can let them run all night and really soak my plants if we go to once-a-week watering. I've already started thinking about what to keep alive and what to let go. I watered all my trees this weekend. It's easy to forget about them, but some are showing signs of stress already and we have a long hot summer ahead of us.

I had about 1/4 - 1/2 inch yesterday evening about 7. It was nice.

not a drop here in Lilburn too. I am watering everything right now until midnight.

I haven't heard an announcement yet and it has the same sched on the website. Baseballmom, maybe you made a boo boo like my neighbor who thought she was supposed to water 10am-midnight but it is the other way around.

I thought it was after 9pm and before 8 am.. I usually water when I get home from work at 4 am, but didn't work.. Still haven't heard anything about the restrictions.

I am assuming we are in a level 3 drought. ANyone know for sure?

Gwinnett follows Georgia's water restrictions
The State of Georgia currently limits outdoor water use to three mornings per week. Gwinnett County follows the state's regulations:

Even-numbered addresses: Saturday, Monday, Wednesday
Odd-numbered addresses: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday
No watering after 10:00am. No watering on Fridays.

Right but it's midnight to 10am 3 days a week.
Got a little rain today which is nice because it's not my day to water.

My house south of US29 L'ville, received about 3 drops.

I notice some trees starting to show stress now from the drought.

(2) The following established landscape water uses are exempt from the outdoor water
use schedules of this rule.
(a) Use of reclaimed wastewater by a designated user from a system permitted
by EPD to provide reclaimed wastewater.
(b) Irrigation of personal food gardens.

From the looks of it, you can open up a Lawn watering business and drive around and water people's lawns for a fee since doing so is provided for under the exemptions 391-3-30-.05 (5)

Not surprising these rules are adopted by a county where if someone comes up to you on the street wielding a sword and threatens to kill you the 911 operator will tell you to contact a lawyer instead.

If this person comes at you with a sword (and say, it's a Friday), and you squirt him with the hose, who gets in worse trouble?

Well, last night we had storms roll through over a 4 hour period or so. It rained quite a few times and now I won't bother with the hose until next week. Y E A H !

Pam, That's a good question. The person who used the hose might be able to claim self defense.
