Hi I am new here... can someone identify this plant?

Hi all... I love this website.

I am new here. WOW there is lots of great information here! I am impressed.

My husband and I bought these little plants a while back at a gardening center. I have no idea what they are. I remember at the time reading about them, but have since forgotten.

I will post a link to a picture so if anyone has any idea, what they are and when they bloom, please respond. I planted them in a semi-shade area.

It's a Lamium. There is white and also pink varieties.

Do they survive the winters here outside? I bought pink ones recently.

It's a Senecio (formerly Kleinia). The photo is too small and maybe the plant is too small to be able to determine exact species. Joe

Have you weedkillered these already? They look rather distorted. The top one could be several things but the top growth seems to be atypical. The plant in the same picture top right is Phygelius. The bottom two show the same plant Centranthus ruber, aka Red Valerian, a self sower and basically a weed in the South West. This forum is very slow and if you need further ids the Name That Plant Forum is much livelier. All the best.

1. is too far away to id. for certain. Possibly Spiraea arguta clipped so it hasn't flowered. 2. is a Fuchsia - not necessarily a winter hardy one. 3. is Buddleja - quite likely a self sown one that someone has attempted to cut down. 4. Sorbus cultivar possibly S aucuparia 'Chinese Lace'. 5. Philadelphus or Deutzia - new growth is tricky to distinguish. Erring on the side of Philadelphus. 6. Potentilla fruticosa (see above for the latest name change but still widely referred to as Potentialla.) 7. Campanula portenschlagiana, a very common self sower. 8. Aucuba japonica All are run of the mill except the Sorbus. If you cadged that one you got a bargain.

I just learned this one recently and have one about like yours. Great plant! It’s an Ardisia, possibly Ardisia humilis, or similar.

I'm in the Atlanta metro area. I have lamium outside and it isn't evergreen but it does come back in the spring. I even have some in a container that has come back for several years.

I've had the "Silver Beacon" for 3 years, and it has been evergreen for me. It's also covered with blooms right now. Gorgeous groundcover.
