Edna Shaw (dip) - still a little short this year. She put up about 1-2 proliferations per scape last year though.

Your Royal Celebration is just gorgeous. It was always splotchy here and I gave it away. I just wish it had performed like yours. I like the All American Tiger triplets, too! Thanks for sharing your photos. Please keep on posting them.

It's like any construction project: takes twice as long and costs three times as much as sanity would dictate. But, labor is pretty cheap around here, so it could be worse, I guess. The sheep and cattle have five centuries of natural selection that allow them to survive on forage in pine forests. (Most notably, they seem to like to eat poison ivy.) But, I like them to look sleek and be easy to catch, so I hand feed a little grain and hay each day. I don't remember the variety of Asian pear that I planted, to be honest.

I want to know what the diamonds are in those jars! lol! It really adds some sparkle. Your stacked cups create a cool shape. I haven't seen 50s style cups like those in years. The terra cotta pot should look awesome when you are done. Make sure to post a pic of it! And I love the idea of the toad house. What a great way to use a broken pot! The snail head popping up over the side is a fun addition. Imagine what could have happened if you had been drinking margaritas listening to Margaritaville!

Gorgeous! That's the number 2 thing I miss the most from the Coast. Number one of course, is the food. The old saying with which I grew up is: Red sky at morning, sailors take warning Red sky at night, sailor's delight Guess one wouldn't want too much buffetting about on the sea in stormy weather. Take care in this dry weather. P.S. I'm not sure the alternative is all that grand. We're forecasted for very stormy weather, tornadoes, on Thursday during trick or treating time.

Bucky Balls and All American Tiger are very pretty, my favorites of your photos.

I have to ask you about Royal Celebration: Does yours have a low bud count, and bud drop too? I think mine had about, oh maybe, eight buds per scape, and half of them dropped. It's not the only one this year that's dropped buds, many have (and have had low buds counts), but was wondering on the bud count issue. Mine opens all crazy-like, whereas yours looks perfect.
