mongo, thanks...the bath is half-finished, has been that way for years. I wish I had gotten to know them *before* they went to a huge amount of trouble (calling their kids in from all over the country) to help install the evidently huge jacuzzi the grandmother wanted...she has had it in for two years now and still can't use it because she can't get out of it :( I would have suggested that they consider a walk/roll-in shower, actually, even though it would have meant giving up her dream of a therapeutic soak at home--it would have been *so* much easier. I have to think they thought of that and decided against it. But the tub's already in. Insurance might be more convinceable if a group like the VNA or some other group (or her doctor!) made a formal recommendation--I'll see what they've done along those lines. They do know they don't quality for charity agency help. Thanks, Bill. I'll pass that idea on to the family.

Peach and mint iced tea w/honey. Celestial Country Peach Passion tea bags Bigelow Green Tea Mint Flavor (light green box) To make a gallon: 2 double peach bags = 4 single 4 single mint Put tea bags in coffee pot, fill resevoir to capacity. Brew as you would coffee. When finished brewing, remove pot from machine, put tea bags in tea to steep. Set aside for at least 2 hours. No need to cover. Remove tea bags, making sure to sqeeze them out. In a two cup measuring cup, add 1 cup of honey and fill 3/4 full with some of the tea. Place in microwave for 45 seconds. Mix well, then stir into brewed tea. Pour this into pitcher and fill with your choice of water. Stir, chill, enjoy. It's best after it has chilled and set for an hour or so, but you can drink it immediately if you can't wait. If it's too weak you can just add more tea bags. I make this same tea using other flavored fruit teas and all good. If you like lemon, Minute Made has pure lemon juice in the frozen food section usually next to the vegetarian hamburgers. At least that's where it is at my WM. It's pure lemon and after defrosted, keeps a very long time.

They are hard to come by on fortuniana. Only K&M carries them and Cool Roses in Palm Beach has a few, but they recently said they were going to stop carrying them because of high royalties or something. I was so bummed because I got most of mine from them. K&M is really pricey when you add shipping to it. But it's worth the extra $$$ because on fortuniana they can last for years and years. The longest I've ever been able to keep any rose on Dr. H alive is 3 years. My Darcy Bussel was doing well until now. I have ONE Austin still going strong (on Doc) after ordering from them 3 years ago and that one is Wollerton Old Hall and its showing no signs of slowing down. I think growing them in large pots works well, even if you only get 3 years out of them that's still a lot of blooms. My oldest Austin on fortuniana is Evelyn and she's easily 9 feet tall. She grows like a climber bare legged till about 8 feet and then all leaves and buds on top. It's not the most attractive habit, but she pumps out the looms like crazy so no complaints here. :) With the exception of Dick Clark and Easy Does It, all of my Austin's out perform my HTs I'll be trying some own root from now on however (if I can't get them on Fortuniana) because I think some own roots actually do better for me. Just not sure about putting them in the ground.

I completely and fully understand variable and semi-variable, as well as fixed. The point I was trying to make, which apparently flew right over your head, is that there is, indeed, a difference between paying a percentage of sales to the suite owner as opposed to paying fixed rent to the suite owner. If I am paying a percentage of my intake each month, it doesn't matter how many hours I work or how much money I bring in, because the ratio remains the same. As long as my portion of that ratio is enough to cover my monthly expenses (home mortgage, utilities, car payment, groceries, etc.), I can work as much or as little as I desire. If I am paying a fixed rental amount each month to the suite owner, it can definitely affect me more. If my monthly rent is $600 but I only work enough to bring in $120, I still have to pay the suite owner $600. This will adversely affect all of my other financial responsibilities. I'm sorry that you can't see that difference. For the record, whether you retain this info or not - our home is owned free and clear, as is my car, and my husband's car. We do pay for utilities each month, and food.
