Thanks for the tip, and another tip

I was grateful for the post asking for what to use to mark plants. I already had some cut up mini blinds. I went to a craft shop I think is local, called Ben Franklins, (in case it's not) and bought a pack of 2 china markers.

Today was a windy, but beautiful day to mark the perennials in my new bed so that I'll know where to plant annuals and let the self seeders grow. I also decided to pull whatever tags that came with the plants, and put them together in a container in case I want to refer to information on them in the future.

Here is my tip, which may be obvious to others. The one thing I was proud that I thought to do, since I can be unorganized and random, was to put the markers on the same side of each plant, so that I will be better able to tell where the plant is.

I know we've had people write garden tips before, but if anyone has any that come to mind, especially for autumn, please add them here.

Sue
