Still More pix!

I am trying to get my pix posted as they bloom. I only did a few last year and was going to wait until winter but then it seem kinda " old news"! I hope you like these!

These first two are pod sibs. The first is my favorite but both are striking..

I don't really know how to measure petal size but each of these petals are just over 5" long from the heart of the bloom. The scape height is 41". The tallest ever to come from my seedlings..

These two are also pod sibs planted side by side. one is leaning into the other..

I could'nt get in front of this one because the trellis was in the way..

Ellie, Wonderful pics. Your big yellow seedling is impressive! I don't have anything near that tall. Do you know the parents?

Wow! You have some very nice seedlings. I really love the Catcher In The Eye babies and all the pink ones. Mary's Peach Floozy sure is a pretty, ruffly one. Thanks for sharing your pics!

Thanks Kay....I've still got quite a few reblooming and still seeing a few scapes coming on. Yep, I blame Rita for quite a few of my purchases last fall and this spring. LOL She always posts some beauties doesn't she. And then of course theres someone who kept posting Clown Parade all season, so I'm just going to have to try to get that one, not to mention posting that Maryotts was offering Linda Beck as a bonus!!! :) Oh well, it's only money, and we can't take it with us, can we, so we might as well enjoy something beautiful with it here on earth, I think. I got about the same in rainfall, and it's amazing how green everything seemed to get overnight. I'm on my way out to mow the grass now...I was just waiting for it to get a bit cooler before doing it. Jan

I have not done a side-by-side, but that is the whole idea of baking bread in a Dutch oven. Also, I had the opportunity of visiting the factory in Brazil where they make all the baking goods for Au Bon Pain (the bakery and cafe chain). Steam oven is what they use. I assume they have done all the rearch. triciae , "----Does the escaping moisture eventually get out of the silicon tube? The loaf browns through the tube? Do you wrap the tube the diameter that you want the finished baguette, say 2-1/3" before putting the end caps on?-----" Thanks Tricia. Yes, steam will eventually seep out of the tube, based on the BTUs of "latent heat of vaporization of heat" absorbed thru the silicone tube. Yes, as you can see from the pictures, the loaf browns very well inside the tube. Silicone is actually a fairly good conductor of heat, that's why they use silicone grease to mount heat senitive electronics on heat-sinks. The diameter of the tube is entirely up to you depending what you want the loaf to look like. I have done very skinny loaves almost like bread sticks, and I have done totally uniform round loaves for slices for some recipes. dcarch

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! Amazing granite. I like how you wrapped it up under the window just behind the sink. Your whole house is beautiful. Quite a successful remodel! I feel badly that I don't have more to say, because it isn't related to how much I love what you've done. It's just all great as a whole, which is a very positive thing. It looks like a wonderful place to hang out and live.

Ellie, I enjoy looking at your seedlings so much. You really have quite a number of them with great potential. I LOVE the throat on the 1st one. It is so unique. I wish I could see it in person. How exciting it must be every morning to see your 'babies'. You have a big inventory of established plants from which to make these crosses. I hope your better ones have good branching and bud count. Enjoy!

Hi Ellie,

Like Ann, I love the applique look throats on the first two. The pinks are my favs, of course, but I like that spider! I could eat Mary's Peach Floozy for dessert, so scrumptious looking.

I did enjoy them.Thanks.I think all of the seedlings are very nice,but my favorites are the 2 pinks leaning on each other.

I'm glad you decided not to wait, Ellie! It's always fun to see what's you've got going...especially now, when I am waiting, waiting, waiting!

I like that Royal Refinement, as well as Mary's Peach Floozy (and I don't think of myself as a peach person)...your seedlings are so interesting! What a good bunch you have!

Spectacular Ellie as usual. I like the one flower kissing the other one LOL Great seedlings. I like them all.

Nice one's Ellie. I think my favorites from these are Orange Electric and Mary's Peach Floozy. I just got Adorable Tiger and I think the bloom color of it will look really similar to your Orange Electric.

Kathy, a couple of years ago, all of my labels got washed off. I am talking in the low hundreds. That's the reason you see a lot of unknown parentage on my seedlings. Nope, don't know the parents..

Debra, I love the CITE seedlings too! I think the first one have Ulraviolet Moods eye though. The second is Catcher for sur. I had 3 others bloom with that eye last year and I am axiously waiting for them this year. They were darker in color though..

Jean, MPF was hybridized by JRT on the LA. He also sent me as a bonus, Window of Joy which I posted last week. they are both scrumptous.. I am glad you enjoyed the pix..

Ann, that is exactly what I wanted to do. Have a good inventory so I could do something different. I still have tons of seedlings that haven't bloomed..

Nancy, please don't eat my MPF. I would be devastated.

Chris, I am glad you like MPF. I have so many new pretty ones this year!

okbt. Those are a cross of S. Royal Prince x Margaret McWhorter. Some of those seedlings are downright ugly..

drgully, I am trying to think what the AT reminds me of. I can't right now but it will come to me..I hope!!

I am not meaning to cut everyone short but my G'daughter and her husband just drove in for a visit. I haven't seen her in a couple of years and they will be here only 1 night. He has to go back to Fort Rucker. A helio pilot is his training.. Ellie
