Raindrops on DL's & Whisker on Kittens....

"My Favorite Things" kept going through my mind as I was uploading pictures tonight. lol I was so disappointed this morning. We had heavy rain early and I had so many FFO's today. Most of them were too ugly to photograph today. Here's a few that held their own through the storm.

Magic Lake FFO - I've been waiting on this one for 3 years and it picked today. lol

And here are the whiskers..... These are twins born last summer. Mollie and Mazie. They have been leaving "gifts" at the back door for me. (not in the photo)

Oh, I love all your pictures. That Destined To See looks very pretty, what a great shot of that. I think us Daylily People have so much patience, with waiting three years, but I can tell it's beautiful. It looks like a nice pink, may have to put that on my list. Also love your kitties, what a cute picture. Keep posting, hope you get a sunny day. Cindy

I have had DTS on my list for a year now. I guess its time to go ahead and get it.

Love the "whiskers". What breed are they?

I love this thread. I was busy for a few days and wasn't able to catch up on all the threads. Have you all just slowly read through this thread? It brings tears to my eyes. Gardening is just wonderful... I love.. -the smell of the yard after a rain, -the hummingbirds and their dive bombing of each other, -early in the morning, walking through my garden with a camera in one hand and a notebook and pen in the other to jot down the names of the flowers I take pictures of. -seeing new perennials blooming for the first time and quickly taking a picture of them for my album -seeing the joy on people's faces when I divide perennials out of my flowerbed for them -weeding -picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden and, of course, having them for the first time in the season -showing others around the yard when they come to visit -love the feeling of accomplishment when a flowerbed is fully weeded or deadheaded -the peacefulness of living in the country and only hearing the birds singing in the trees and the occasional chatter of a squirrel that the dogs haven't scared away (yet!) -tilling the garden (in bare feet when the soil is warm) and watching all those tiny weeds disappear under the dirt and then looking at the vegetable garden rows all nice and clean after I am done. -In spring I enjoy the nice warm sun streaming in the windows (my cat does too!) Brenda (who also loves the Sound of Music song...these are a few of my favorite things...and then I don't feel so sad!)

Oh the clean sheets, that was one of mine, nothing else quite like it. If I was rich I'd have them every day!! Spring, it's like wearing tinted glasses, so lush. Strawberries....ooh la la! My little 4 legged darlings waiting at the door when I get home. beautiful fabric, the sight, the touch, oh, that's a commercial! the sound of geese flying over, even if they are a pain to someone else eventually. slow falling snow when your safe and sound inside. kids smiles when they see my funny yellow smart car. This just popped into my head. Is it OK to post pictures that aren't yours? Unless you have permission from the person who took them, I don't think so. I know you can find pictures on the web that would fit, but I feel you should always ask permission first. I wouldn't want someone to post my pictures on another forum without asking first. Also doesn't it involve copyright and it is illegal to post someone else's pictures. Just something to think about. Clare

Very pretty indeed. DTS is showing out for an FFO. Wow! Magic Lake is a beauty too. I love the kittens aren't they pretty?

Those daylilies look great in spite of all the rain. Your cats are so pretty. I love the splats of white on their noses, especially on the one on the right. I have to laugh because it looks like they have gotten into some white paint with those splashes :-))

Happiness is lots of Daylies and Furry faces.The flowers are pretty and the kitties are adorable. One can never have too many daylilies or too many cats.

Thanks everyone for such nice comments. DTS is one of my very favorites.
About the cats.....they are mixed I think. I found them and their momma last year in a tree stump in the woods. I guess someone had set her out close by when she was expecting. They were just a few days old. The mom was black with white patches on her....her white markings on her nose were exactly like Mazie's. I found a home for her and the other kitten which was solid black. I had to keep these two sisters because they would stick together all the time and I didn't want them to be separated. So far they have been doing a great job at hunting. I had another present this morning. But no, I do NOT like stepping on those things. lol They look too much like mice to me and I'm terrified of those. At least they haven't found a snake I guess... I assume they have siamese or himalayan in them because they both have bright blue eyes.

I would have kept them too -- too cute to pass up.

We have a Siamese that was dropped off at our house as a kitten with a broken leg. She's beautiful, but nowhere near as cute as your twins!

Love the daylilies Michelle and also your furry friends. They are adorable. I wonder if they have some Ragdoll in them? I have a Ragdoll and he has similar coloring.
