Here's some of the Munsons that are still blooming in my garden.

Whoops, this isn't a Munson, but I meant to post it in my other thread. Gotta share it with ya'll. :)

Baby Blue Eyes

Now for the Munsons.

Ballet Master

Egyptian Ibis

Damascan Velvet

Inca Prince

Water Goblin

And one more, Malmaison Plum

There's other Munsons still blooming but I didn't get photos of them today since I already have some good ones of them. :)

America's Most Wanted, Simply Sensational, Preeminent, Bicentennial Queen... AWESOMELY STUPENDOUS! I just love the name Party Popper, that's a good one and what a great looking double. How did I miss this post? Jan, I am looking at these during my lunch hour and I just don't know if I'll be able to work this afternoon:) Not only are these blooms gorgeous, your photography is great too. I wasn't going to go back to the open gardens this Saturday, but my son's girlfriend is coming down from Northern Indiana and she wants to go. I am going to have to see if the local daylily garden has some of these. Vickie

I'm happy for you and your much needed rain, Jan. We received way too much rain in our long, drawn-out cold Spring, that the conditions slowed my bloom season drastically! I'm sure enjoying all the blooms from south of us, while waiting for mine to put on a show...only a few blooming here right now. Willie Lyles is one of my favorites. I have a couple young plants, and am eager to see a clump of blooms! Malaysian Marketplace was on my wish list last year, but I wasn't able to purchase it, soooooo, back on the list it goes...must have it...someday. Great photography, and thanks for sharing. Julie

Thanks Kay....I've still got quite a few reblooming and still seeing a few scapes coming on. Yep, I blame Rita for quite a few of my purchases last fall and this spring. LOL She always posts some beauties doesn't she. And then of course theres someone who kept posting Clown Parade all season, so I'm just going to have to try to get that one, not to mention posting that Maryotts was offering Linda Beck as a bonus!!! :) Oh well, it's only money, and we can't take it with us, can we, so we might as well enjoy something beautiful with it here on earth, I think. I got about the same in rainfall, and it's amazing how green everything seemed to get overnight. I'm on my way out to mow the grass now...I was just waiting for it to get a bit cooler before doing it. Jan

Hi Chris, Thanks for sharing your favorites!! I have just planted Mayan Poppy, Cameroons, and Kabuki Ballet. I will definitely check out the other ones. There are so many Munsons to choose from it is hard to know which ones to get. I see you are from Michigan. We were just up there last week to get apples. Brought home 15 bushels for pies and applesauce. We get some for our son and his family and for a friend. My husband is from Tecumseh, MI and still has family there. We come up most every May to go birding over in Ohio at Magee Marsh and then up to Tawas Point State Park. Then we come again the first weekend in August for the Cousins Reunion. Anyway thanks so very much for taking the time to post your favorites. Carol

Oh my goodness.BABY BLUE EYES is gorgeous.,I really like MALMAISON PLUM and INCA PRINCE,too.But,DAMASCAN VELVET and BALLET MASTER is simply gorgeous, tooYou have some real beauties,Thanks for sharing them.

Munsons are the best! Seeing your photo makes me remember I have to get my Egyptian Ibis out from under the Honeysuckle vines. It's so pretty!

Very nice, all of them. My favorite would be Egyptian Ibis followed by Inca Prince. What a contrast, huh.

I have a question... I've heard so many people brag about Munson's and they are beautiful, but what makes them stand out above the others?

Beautiful Jan!! Nothing tops Munson's clearity of colour and so many beautiful shades! Hard to beat such contrast as you have with a bed of Munson's....Crayola must have gotten their colours from the Munson's....:)

Baby Blue Eyes is just gorgeous. A more local cold-climate person planted this last fall, and I'm just dying to see it in bloom.

Ballet Master is nice, too.

How am I going to get my hands on Inca Prince?! I need this one badly. Thanks to your gorgeous pictures, I got several Munsons and I have had lovely bloom from them, but ai have yet to find Inca Prince.
