Like my forum post says, I'm new to this trading stuff and to gardening in general so bear with me until I get the hang of it. I honestly don't have too many plants to trade but I do have other stuff. I've been informed in my post on the forum that I can always find something to trade. I'm going to dig through my garage this weekend and see what other goodies I can come up with. First up is a gallon of Liquid Fence Deer and Rabbit Repellent. I accidentally ordered a gallon of it instead of the Dog & Cat kind (trying to keep puppies out of flower beds). I have a fenced yard in a subdivision so deer and rabbits are not really a nuisance for me. I thought it still might work but unfortunately puppies just can't get enough of the putrid egg smell! :o) You can see the product at www.liquidfence.com. I can bring the entire gallon to someone (includes sprayer) to trade for lots of plants/ items OR I am willing to divide it up into smaller jars and bring it to anyone who wants some in exchange for a one or two plants.

Well I picked up some bio defend Shelby Ag Supply in Chelsea today. I happened to be in the area and drove by, I had never been there before, actually didn't know it exsited, but the store caught my eye. Anyway nice people there and found the bio defend, I put it out so I hope it works. One other note the owner told me about a radio show he is co hosting starting July 12th. It is Cultured Ag Radio on WXJC 92.5 FM or 850 AM. Don't know to much about it but he said its him and a master gardner and will be agiculture and home garden info. Anyway if anyone wants to listen ever he said its 7-9 am on Saturdays starting the 12th.

Thanks to Alfie for clarifying the difference between catmint and catnip; saved me the trouble! Since I have to fence my catnip to allow it to survive the depredations of my own and the neighborhood cats, I have but one plant. However, since the cats care nothing for lemon catnip, and because it self-sows with the same gleeful abandon as the regular sort, and because I much prefer its aroma and taste in tea to the standard (which to me smells like skunk, although I confess I do not find that scent--at a reasonable distance!--terribly off-putting), I have masses of that around, duking it out in one wild corner with the lemon balm, equally enthusiastically self-sowing calendula, and several mullein plants that I encourage for their medicinal properties as well. ANYhow--my point is this: if plain ol' catnip is a good 'skeeter repellent, seems my lemon catnip would be even better, as it has that citronella-like scent, same as lemon balm. We, happily, have not too many mosquitoes this year, but I will sure give it a try tomorrow for the ravenous black flies that have plagued our area the last couple of summers. I have little hope, though, since the lemon balm did not faze them...CK

Hi Lynne, Good question LOL! They are 3 1/2 to 4 inches long. The weight unknown. Bathroom scale does not go that low. LOL. Actually they weight as much as a AA battery. They are chunky as you can see but so small. *One of them has a tail that is just a little nub. Really cute. The rest have longer tails. They constantly eat. They have a very good appetite. The mother is also eating very well. We take her outside to potty. She does it quick and starts begging to go back inside with her puppies. She is an excellent mother. They are so snuggly. Felix
