I'm really likeing this one. Hearts Of Fire x Mal. It's a tall one, and it's been blooming like crazy. This is it's 2nd year to bloom.

Who would have thought this would be the result of Tennessee Treasure x Donna's Prayer?

Now this one might be expected from TT x DP.

I like this pretty pink one from My Special Angel x Light Of Heaven.

This is the FFO on Twilight Illusion x Jerry Nettles.

You can really see this one's Mama in it! My Special Angel x Breaking My Heart.

I'm liking this one on it's 2nd bloom, John Peat x Heline Pressley.

Twins on Another Distraction x Chartered Course.

And for the last one in this thread, how about Bonnie Holley x Grandma's Smile.

I'll take one of each, especially ADXCC. A real beauty, but then so is HOF X Mal.And the pink one, you know how I am with pinks. Niiice.

Oh my goodness, Jan.Each one gets prettier then the last one,IF that is possible.I just love every one of them.At first,when I seen the first one,HOFXMal,i thought they can't be no better then this one, but each of themis just gorgeous.ANY MORE??

Isn't Mulu amazing? The caves are awesome. And to plop at 3/4 star hotel right in the middle of a tropical jungle is amazing to. The boat ride isn't as scary as it looks - the waters are relatively calm and shallow. In fact, if it hadn't rained for a while and there the boat is full, the man may be "volunteered" to get out, wade in the water and push the boat past the shallower points. The "herring bone" marks on the Ipoh trees are interesting. They represent the scourge marks where barks were removed to make the poison for the blow pipe darts' tips. (We were lucky enough to have a very knowledgeable guide with us on our trip there - he has a BSc in Botany!) Those pitchers can be used as receptacles to cook glutinous rice in. My mom used to do that.

Thanks everyone! Wow, lot's of nice comments on the location. It is pretty, isn't it? I feel lucky to work here. It's a very unique part of the bay, right where the Carquinez river and Napa river dump into San Pablo Bay. The campus is nestled in a little cove, below the Al Zampa bridge. We got lucky with weather, just a light breaze. Tenderheart! Lovely to see you here! Big thanks and kiss! Nell, these guys are French Bulldogs. They do look very much like Bostons, only stouter and with a more square head. And yes, they are our funky little family. If you want a clue as to just how spoiled they are, I left my own wedding reception to take them home and feed them at their regularly appointed hour. Marilyn - we hired a cellist and she was excellent. She played two pieces by Bach and one of her own compositions during the wedding. She played another half hour as people filtered into the reception. GGG - did you go to your sister's wedding? I LOVE Vancouver. Such a beautiful city! Now Lorna - about that arbor. That thing was wrestled into place against all odds. The florist decorated it in the shelter of a building. Brian and his dad then did a very memorable walk into the wind to set it in place. Everyone was holding their breath. They tied and staked that sucker within an inch of its life. I didn't think I would feel all that different being married, but I've surprised myself. Brian and I have always been deeply committed to one another. We've always known what we have together is for life, never letting the fact we couldn't marry stand in our way. We figured that if we ever were allowed to marry, that it would be mostly a pracitical decision to do so. But this thing we did, this thing we were finally able to do, has had a profound effect on us both. There is a heightened sense of dignity, an intangible sense of responsibility to ourselves and society. I'm truly grateful for it and have realized that it has changed us for the better. Again, thanks to every one of you for your support. It means so much to us both. Steven

Rita, I don't know why that petal doesn't open up. Maybe it will later. The prples seem to be favorites with most folks... Jean, I'm so glad you like them. This is the second bloom year for all of them except the white spuf.. Nancy, i was really fortunate this year with the seedlings. I guess the rain did it for me but they really are pretty in the patch... Michelle, give me another year to see how they do and it maybe be able to be divided. Not now though because I want them to have a good start. I was going to google it after asking here.. Thank you all, very much....Ellie

Hi Kelly, Thanks much. Sure, steal away, ideas like that are certainly for the sharing. My issue is so many quilts, where to hang them all & that particular spot over the doorway was sized perfectly for that quilt. Yeah, the blue tringles WAS fun to piece, value placement was tricky tho'. Am doing some ditch quilting, some echo inside the triangles & some outline the design in the indigo & white batik pieces, that's all I've decided so far. This is the first piece I've done using a colored back & where I'm practicing & learning to pop my knots. Pretty good so far. Here, I'm proud to say is a UFO I finally finished last Nov. w/ a teal binding that matches the teal inside the design. a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">

Thanks for the comments everybody....I know my seedlings aren't cutting edge so to speak, but they're special to me. It's so much fun just seeing what I get out of the crosses I make.
I did walk out there a little while ago after the rain stopped, and I wish I could have seen them before the rain ruined most of them. I think I would have had some nice ones. Oh well, tomorrows another day, and there'll be more blooms in my seedling patch!

Jan, Pretty group of seedlings. Your first one reminds me of some of mine. I also crossed reds x edges...trying to get that Born to Run/Talladega look. Here's one that would've been nice if the edge was twice as big and if it didn't fade in the sun and if it hadn't been plagued with thrips (that's a lot of IF's, huh) :-)

Kathy...I love your EB x HOF seedling. Is this it's first year to bloom? The edge might get better, but even if it doesn't, I'd still have it in my garden. :)

Wow! These are all so gorgeous! I especially love the 1st one and the 4th (pink) and the last one too. But I'd love to have any of them in my garden. Great job!

Jan, No, this is the second year for that seedling and it's only 2 fans. That is the best pic by far...lots of splotchiness on the others. I still think it has potential, so I'll give it one more year...but it had better grow!

Jean, Thank you. I was excited about it last year (I don't have any reds with a gold edge) - but this year it has been a disappointment....it's kind of puny. If it reblooms, I think I will try to pollinate it.

That first one just gets better and better! The others are all pretty, but that HOF X Mal #1 has a real wow factor!
