I don't have many so bare with me...Ellie

This is a first time bloomer and I like the first bloom. I will have to dig for the cross though. It's rather in an out of the way place..

Another G'Ma Smile baby!

My dear friend that passed away crossed this one..It has such a beautiful color and the petals are waxy and the best thing is that it's a late one..

I like the roundness of that Grandma's Smile baby! The first one is a pretty lavender.

Thanks everyone! The seedlings are so similar to their parent, but I like that they are taller. The will work well in my flower bed in the middle of the yard. For some reason not all of my calla lillies came back this year. I don't know why, they have been coming back for years & we had a mild winter. The orange one is gone & the dark one. Just have this one & a white one with speckled leaves. Jean, I really like lilies too, I have quite a few of them scattered around & try to add a few more every year.

I was passing Thuja occ. Columbia this morning. Talk about wonderful variegation... might be one of the very best. One note is that variegated Thuja's are deer-proof. They will not go near a white-tipped or golden-tipped tree or shrub Thuja. Thanks Tommy, Dax

Thanks! The 1st one has a bloom, they've been between 5 & 6", this particular bloom is closer to 5". The last one is pretty tall, a bit too tall for my preference. There are 2 scapes, the shorter one is about 36", the other may be a bit over 40" tall.

Ellie .. I also like that one a lot ... it's outside of the color palette I am usually drawn to ... it's a polychrome, so there are lots of colors in it, and it's great that it blooms differently. Renee .. sorry, but I'll take too much water any day over drought. I have learned to live with the flooding, and for the last 2 years have not had to water my gardens all summer. I watered once at the very beginning of June this year, and that's been it. I don't need to worry about my daylilies when they have lots of water, and I always worry about them when there is not enough water.

I'll look forward to seeing more of that first one, it could be nice I think. Your seedlings are all nice though.

I like the G'ma Smile seedling, but I think the name has a lot to do with it. Grandma's Smile just makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Debra, that lavender is a first timer. I'll see what it looks like later. The G'ma's babies tend to be really round and PINK...Hahaha!!

Rita, that daylily is really orange. For some reason my camera photographs oranges as a bright yellow.

You are right Christine, about the name. It does make a person feel good when they see the name..

Maybe it's the angle of the picture but the depth of that center on the bloom of SWxHC reminds me of a pink trumpet flower. Nice group you have here......Maryl
