one pergola done....

User

It took 4 1/2 hrs one day and 3 hrs the next to finish. A LOT of surfaces. I did get a wonderful hint and that was to use a 4" roller on all the flat parts and just the brush on the joints. That really saved me a lot of time...unfortunately I didn't get that tip till I was 1/2 done on day 1 but better late than never LOL. So here is the before and after. I have a Zephy rose at the base of the trellis on L and a couple KO's...can always move them later and 2 clemmies...one that gets big and one that doesn't. I get late afternoon sun to this area. I had to use a 12 ft ladder and a reg. ladder and used oil penetrating stain on the treated wood. See what you think ...

before...pergola completed early July :

in progress:

I still have the one in the back to do and one more arbor and the trellis...then there is the wall...but I have all the porches finished !! Yeah. I am glad the cooler weather is here. :)
