I have a beautiful Abutilon Flowering Maple 'Gold Dust' plant growing in a 10" hanging basket. The flowers are a pretty soft orange and the leaves green with yellow specks. The evenings are starting to get cool and I know it will bloom well indoors, but I don't have the room for it. It will also do very well in warmer climates. My Gold Dust is over 6 feet tall and while it looks very healthy leaves toward the bottom turn yellow and drop off. The thing that is interesting me at the moment however is the seeds it seems to be producing. The plant seems to be growing 2 types of vines with 2 types of seeds. The first is a vine with small rounded green seeds that after a time fall off, the vine continues to grow and sprout more seeds. The 2nd type is a vine that the top of the seed sprouts like green hair around the top and a drop of sweet tasting sap forms, the seed drops off but usually sticks to a leave before hitting the ground, after one cycle of seeds this vine dries up and falls off. I have tried many ways to sprout the seeds with no luck, dried out,fresh on top of soil, buried fresh and dried in the soil etc. I have pictures if anyone is interested, I would love some help with this.

soil could need to be deeply watered, But first check to make sure it has not been overwatered and now is experiencing root rot. Otherwise, it may have by now used up all the fertalizer in the potting soil rootball. Begin feeding it with non burning, slow release food that, also, supports heavy blooming.

It is an infestation of mealybugs, a small insect that sucks sap out of plant leaves and stems. In a smaller plant, I find it easiest to swab down the leaves and stems with rubbing alcohol. If a larger plant, you can use a Neem or horticultural oil spray. Following either process, I would hose down the plant thoroughly with water.
