Saturday's Best Photos, Part 1

Time did not permit me to take better photographs today. I raced through the daylily beds while my DH kept coming outside reminding me I had an 11:00 appointment. So here begins the parade of some of today's best blooms!

NICOLE'S STAR CHASER

PARROT PARTY (always perfect!)

PUCCINI (first time it has doubled this year)

SEEDLING (looks a lot like BLUE HIPPO only a little smaller and a rosy-lavender color)

TWIN SEEDLINGS

LOST TAG - PLEASE HELP IDENTIFY (tag was lost during the move three years ago, and this is the first time it has bloomed here)

Well, you did a great job on your picture taking, these all look perfect to me. PARROT PARTY is my favorite though. Love that color and the ruffles.

The seedling that looks like Blue Hippo is my favorite. It looks rounder than Blue Hippo, and I like the white teeth on the edge.

Sarah - my Roses in Snow hasn't looked good at all until today so give it time. Rita - I love the hot colors, too, but they sure look different by the end of the day in this heat. Only Red Volunteer seemed to still look good by late this evening.

nate. yes,it always opens this well, I have never seen a bad bloom yet on it. ,always a perfect bloom, so far, now my picture taking is not always that good, but this bloom is always perfect. Lori, I wish I knew...LOL! I'll post a link to a Web site that gave some good tips, but like I said in the Part 2 thread, I broke the tripod as soon as we got there and we were on very uneven ground, so I ended up just trying to balance the camera on the tripod. Also, that Web site says that some of the earliest pics in the evening are often the best because it isn't quite completely dark yet. So maybe that was it. ?? All are beautiful, but I think I like Parrot Party best too, nice color, just enough ruffle, & light edging. Very pretty.
