Thanks all! ngraham - the good news is, VE multiplies like crazy. When she gets it right, the flowers are amazing. farmerbell - I didn't like that seedling when it first opened, but the blooms are getting better, and the bud count and branching are out of this world. In addition, it had instant rebloom this year. PP is my little beauty. Love her. Jessica - can you believe that some of them are just starting their first blooms? I got a bunch that are late and very late, so I could extend my season. Looks like it is working! Stargate Explosion just put up its first scape! Yippee! Nikki - I posted about the photo problem on your Star Child post.... hope it works out! I like PP too! okbt - she is a hardy little bugger... even though I slid down the hill and wiped out all 3 fans last fall, she came back beautifully and gave me quite a show. Love PP. Debra - thanks!! :o) MM is new to my garden (this spring), and is doing so well! Got another bloom this morning. Hoping the colors get just a mite brighter with settling. Gotta do my yoga, then I will try to post those Star Child photos... Thanks for all the kind words.

THANK YOU all so much for looking and taking the time to comment. Your feedback makes the effort to post worthwhile! I enjoy all your remarks and input. It seems Stargate Portal was the big hit and it is well-deserved. For many years I coveted this one and swore I would get my hands on it. I feared it wouldn't live up to my expectations but it is every bit as stunning (and a great bloomer and increaser in my garden) as I dreamed. The color is exactly as you see in my photo.....it has not been enhanced. I have well over 400 cultivars now and yet this one is still 'wowing' me. To answer questions, Mantis: Tiramisu is brand-new and just 2 fans but bloomed from being planted in June. Therefore I can't evaluate it this year. The cream spider in the 2nd landscape shot is 'Shaker Dance'. A closer shot of it follows. Nat, Prediction looks fine this year but last year I did sometimes find it looking a little funky now and then. I did add about 30 new daylilies this year, less than what I usually acquire. I am running out of room but that still won't stop me....lol. Celeste

Sarah, Those are just beautiful shots of both bird$ and blooms. Thank you for sharing them. I am inspired to try (again) some photos of my own. I seem to get so enthralled in watching the antics of these little beasties that I forget to take the photo! Yesterday my little resident QueenBird flew right into my face to let me know that the main feeder needed refilling. Sure wish I'd had my camera then. She just hung right in front of me at a distance of about 12-14 inches for several seconds. She made sure she had my attention! All I could do was laugh. spiderwoman

Cinnamon Girl and Paradise Found are my favs. I have Paradise Found, but it's at its 2nd year, so I'm not too familiar with how it looks. I think it might have been lavender with darker edges like advertised. Maybe it's because it's colder here. I really like Table Mountain too. But Paradise Found blew my socks off!!! Wow!! Can't wait for mine to bloom. Carol

You have a lot with the big green throat/watermark thing going on & LOVE it!

Itza Pink Teddy I received from an auction win from Screek on the LA...(huge clump & unbelievable bonus'...highly recommended as a seller by the way) so it has to bloom for me this year!

Clothed in Glory is the daylily that woke me up to the revolution in daylily flowers after seeing it in a Wayside catalog. Mine only has it's scapes up and after looking at your picture I can hardly wait for it to bloom. True North and Strawberry Candy also catch my eye.

A more local guy (who also lives in an icebox like mine) just got Clothed in Glory (and Jewel in a Crown and Pixie Plaything and Pink Lemonade Party and Royal Pink Twist and....) I can't wait to see them in bloom.

Your picture of Itza Pink Teddy looks like a much darker pink than most of the pictures that I've seen, but it's still lovely.

Well thank you all!! Best photo is an outstanding compliment, seeing as there are some great photographers here on this board! :o) And enablers too, I must say!

Kathy - I think that is the best photo I have of Strawberry Candy. I finally got a new camera, and if I set it on the "baby" setting, I can really get the true colors of some of the hard to capture daylily colors, such as Strawberry Candy. It is not pink, but not orange... and "bright coral" sounds so blah!

lalalandwi - you are going to just love IPT, blooms are on the smaller side, but they are just so darned cute with the yellow wire edge. For some reason, daylilies with that feature really seem to capture me. IPT is another daylily that makes me all giddy when I see it bloom. EMMA TOMLINSON MCHUGH is one that I looked for, for a long time. Very different, but the pink is SO intense.

Maryl - CIG is one of those flowers that kind of has a stippling effect that makes up its overall color. For me, it took a while to really get good blooms, even though the plant took off like a weed. It opens well, and has great branching and budcount.

IPT was really light pink the first year I had it. This year, the color has darkened up some, but it does fade a wee bit in the HOT Texas sun, so I get lighter flowers in the afternoon. My photos from last year were remarkably lighter, but I think it was because the clump was not established.
