Tuesday & Wednesday blooms - Wind resistant

For 3 days the winds have been howling here. You'd think we were having a tropical storm with no rain. The heat is on its way again so I'll enjoy another day of "warm" versus "hot" temps. Really hard to get good pics with the wind but here are a few.

DOUBLE RIVER WYE - Always a great bloomer here.

FIRES OF FUJI - FFO and didn't mind being wind blown.

BLUEBIRD SKY - very few buds this year and does get a decent scape height but not much in increase. I think it is just too close to the bee balm.

SEMINOLE WIND - lots of scapes and buds to go yet.

SEVENTY TIMES SEVEN - first opening this morning and seems to be much smaller in bloom size this year. Struggled a bit too.

WORTH IT ALL - gave me 3 blooms this morning but only could get 2 in the pic.

ROSE MASTERPIECE - opened with triplets but could only get 2 in the shot and even then, one is not in focus.

ENTER LAUGHING - not the best FFO but notice the pinching in the throat?

BROADWAY SPARKLER - love this small bloom and this year it is exceeding its registered height on several scapes.

TILL THE END OF TIME - still not the soft pink. Possibly my soil is making the colors deeper. Definitely not the camera.

Time to finish fixing dinner.

Julia
