Fortisi, No pictures. I don't have a digital camara. I bought one then returned it as I couldn't figure out what all the icons meant. Will get one eventually, My 35mm camera died too. LOL. Don't be jealous, your turn will come. Wish I knew the name of this fig. Jack sent me his Qtr. lb, Alma, Brown Tky and a, "nice red". I mixed up the lables when I transplanted them. I know it is not the Qtr. Lb. That has very distinctive leaves. This fruit was quite large, elongated, multicolored, almost like a ripe peach. A little purple on the end, red fading to peach. One of the others that is not even a foot high has 4 figs. One the size of a quarter. I'll just have to wait and see what happens. If they survive this awful weather I'll be happy. Although my figs have not matured as quickly as usual this year due to the wet weather, the "early birds" among the figs are starting to come in. Hollier, a fig from the LSU program of the mid-1950's, has produced figs over the last week. Although not as sweet and rich as in hot dry weather, they are still not bad! One of my Celeste variants has produced some fruit already. (It is from a heirloom tree that has grown in South Austin since 1900.) My other Celeste trees show no signs of ripening yet. Lyndhurst White has produced several huge figs, but the taste is insipid, probably due to the incessant rain. The figs from the in-ground Lyndhurst White have a little more sweetness than the potted LW cultivar, but still lack character. I look forward to assessing the taste of the fig under hot, dry conditions. The brebas of Desert King ripened about 2 weeks ago, but weren't very sweet. Most of my figs will start ripening in about 2-3 weeks.

Hi, The fig fruit looks so YUMMY, is the pulp sweet? I've always like the fig fruit with the pulp fills to the rim! How old is your Trojano fig?
