Thursday's Thirteen Photos

As I was photographing this morning, I began to notice that a high percentage of daylilies that did not have any thrip damage were Salters. These older cultivars are hard working cultivars that open well and are not usually plagued by aphids or thrips.

HILLBILLY HEART (J. Salter) is like an old friend I'm happy to see again.

ROMAN COHORT (J. Salter) has shown a bit of thrip damage on previous flowers, but it was looking good today. And the color was a shade I've never seen on it before. In the shade it appeared almost a watermelon color.

WISEST OF WIZARDS (J. Salter)

MEET JOE BLACK (Petit) My husband said this one looked all dressed up and ready to go someplace special.

WINTER TREASURE (J. Salter) You can see this one starts out with just a bit of pink cream in the sepals. After a couple of hours, the color disappears, and the whole flower lookds white.

ELECTRIC MIST (J. Salter) is neon simplicity

LITTLE MYSTIC MOON (E. Salter)
