Hi to all:Finally i have a simple Web Page with fig and grape varieties + other fruits and flowering shrubs

i can provide cuttings from,if someone do not have them allready.

Looks pretty niffty, Herman! When I took a peek, the graphics weren't showing - there must be a broken link in the html text.

Hi Gene :I have to recognise i am bad,still a beginer when it comes to computer.
I did see it right now thow.
I copied the address,
Next i pasted the address,in the left corner of the screen,where it say,Address,above the search box in my case.
I left clicked on Go,at the end of the address box,and it came up,as aone page on a template with sunflower wich is my favorite flower because you can eat it when HUNGRY.
Please Gene try again and tell me if you see the template and my Page.Thanks anticipated

There is a difference in actually uploading content to GardenWeb versus merely providing a link to content on another site. If one uploads a photo to one of the GardenWeb galleries, then you grant to GardenWeb a license for it's use per the terms of use agreement. But a link is not content. If one uses the link option provided at the bottom of a post block to some other web site, it would be preposterous to think GardenWeb then has a license to all that linked site has in content. A link manufactured by the poster in the body of a message is no different, even if it links to content that the poster owns. The link that plantman56 used to display the photo did not give GardenWeb a license for it's use. I see no reason for posters to avoid sharing their photos by linking to them, for you give away no rights by doing so. Uploading directly to a GardenWeb gallery should not be done if you don't want to give GardenWeb a license. Did Nunan infringe plantman56's copyright? Probably. It would seem that plantman56 didn't give Nunan a right to it's use. But plantman56 did upload the photo to Webshots, subject to Webshots' terms of use, which states ... a nonexclusive, irrevocable, worldwide, sub licensable, royalty-free license to use, store, display, publish, transmit, transfer, distribute, reproduce, create derivative works of and publicly perform that Content on and through each of the services provided by Webshots. The worrisome words used are 'irrevocable', 'sub licensable', and 'royalty free'. Did Webshots sub license the photo use to Nunan? We don't know. It's a good idea to read the terms of service before uploading to any site. Compare the terms of service of Photobucket to those of Webshots. Photobucket does not include the words 'irrevocable' or 'sub license'. Copyright is federal law and recourse for infringement can be found in US Circuit Court. Failure to place the copyright symbol on a work or failure to register the work does not bar one from recovery, though it may limit the recovery. Where the infringement was via the internet, some parties may be protected unless notified of the infringement in a formal manner.

a few things you want to check when looking at the free hosting sites, check their dedicated forums see if there are good topics and recent topics also check some of the websites those people have built using the hosting company. Look for the very annoying toolbars some put at the bottom of your website that are linked to things like facebook, twitter etc, they are worse than ads in my book. I know that x10hosting does use those you can check their forum and view some of their sites and you will see what I mean. I do not mind a plain old ad banner all those jumping and annoying things I really hate. you can find out a lot just by doing some reading in the various forums dedicated to each hosting company.

Ladies, if you save your email addys via an export feature in your mail program, you should also be able to import it again, in to another email program. I have done this, when I went from earthlink to gmail. in gmail is the export opting like this: Export Contacts Export your contacts so you can transfer them to other accounts or save them offline. Who do you want to export? All of my contacts - 755 Only contacts in What format would you like to export to? Google's CSV format (for importing into another Google account). Outlook's CSV format (for importing into Outlook or other applications). vCard format (for importing into Address Book or other applications). I have a folder in mozilla (as that is my browser) where I export all my addresses about once a month. I always overwrite the file that's already there, thus I have the latest and up to datetest (LOL) file for emergencies. In the import option on gmail I have this: Import Contacts We support importing contacts in the CSV file format (Comma Separated Values). For best results, please use a CSV file produced by Outlook, Outlook Express, Yahoo!, or Hotmail. For Apple Address Book, there is a useful utility called "A to G". Please select a file to upload Import Above all, know where you save your address book!!! otherwise, you can't import it in to a new mail program. Another tip: Use a "free mail program", like hotmail, gmail, yahoo etc. With this your mail is web based, and you can pull it up on ANY computer, and you don't have to change addresses when you get a new server. That's my reason to have gmail (main addy) yahoo mail for gardenweb and KT, yahoo mail for cycling... LOL, see where I am going? I have several email addresses, and I use them for different purposes. I checked again, but still didn't see any graphics. I'm not familiar with the Yahoo! web hosting service, so can't help much there. Be sure to give the complete url for the graphic file, not just the file name. The problem is that you have the file available on your computer, so your web browser plugs it in, and when you look at the page you see the file. But when I look at it, the graphics aren't on my computer and the browser doesn't know where to find them. So instead of adding "picturefile.jpg" --- add "http://www.photohostingsite.com/hermansaccount/picturefile.jpg";. This way others can see it too.

Okay, I looked at your page source html, and see that you did give the complete url. I copied the url and plugged it in to view just the gif -- and my work server blocked my access because it is hosted on geocities website. So it may actually be visible to other people, just not me here at my work.

Gene I searched the word "nifty",and it means great,neat.
Do you really believe it is nifty?.
On the other hand I seriouselly liked it because it is simple only on one page,and one can deduct all the information it needs to take a decision to contact me,or not.
I will see if it can function in today world with so much spam,and people trying to do bad.
