Thursday blooms

It's hot out there today. And weedy.

Bobby Martin

Spiny Sea Urchin -- SSU took a couple of years to bloom, but I'm satisfied now. Maybe next year the teeth will come in!

This is one of my favorite pinks. I've no earthly idea on the ID--or whether it's dip or tet. I like it from the side! It holds that form all day, and keeps the green underneath. I think an undersung attribute of daylilies is what they look like when you're sitting on ground pulling weeds. I get that view a lot.

Bobby Martin is really nice. Best to ignore the weeds and just look at the daylilies :-))

Of course I like the pinks, but the form and edge on Sugar Cream Pie wins me over. It's hard to capture some daylilies nuances of color. They shift like passing clouds. Now you see them now you don't. ........I'm not a UF fan, but your picture of Navajo Pony is lovely. Love the pattern and symmetry..............Maryl

Vertical Horizon and Isabelle Rose are my favorites. Vertical Horizon has been on my wish list for several years. Let me know how it goes with hybridizing with that one. I have both Neon Flamingo and White Eyes Pink Dragon. I like the bloom on Neon Flamingo better, but White Eyes is definitely the better plant here. Debra

your unknown looks a lot like my Palladian Pink - perfect all the time, holds well and green on the bottom (yes, I see that side too!!)

I checked my records, and compared web pictures, and decided it has to be Tommy Bryon--mine has a faint darker rose eye band, and a dip. But...Palladian Pink, you say? Does it have that same side view? Enquiring minds want to know....

Mine also like to turn away from the path so that all you see is the back of the petals.
