Thursdays Blooms Lots of Re-blooms
Comments (10)Such a bounty of beautiful rebloomers! I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw the Bird Talk photo. Now that you have verified its ID, it decides to look like it's supposed to. LOL! It's quite pretty in this photo. My three top favorites are Crazy Ivan, Songwriter and Mary's Baby. I love the Romanian Rendevouz twins in their pale state, and Filled to Overflowing is a real looker too. Offtopic, check the bud scars on your Black Fathom Depths. I think it may be one for the Bud King list. Debra...See MoreWednesday & Thursday Blooms
Comments (15)I had to go look up Penny Pinsley. It's a little one! I am becoming very enamored of the littles. Your pictures make it very appealing. I'm trying to remember what tour I was on when I saw Lavender Cream Cascades in several gardens. Probably Houston, given it's a Carpenter. Anyway, I remember thinking then how much I had liked it...and had forgotten until your pictures! Haha. Rambunctious Rosie is my kind of gal...big and tall! Kentucky Lucky looks very proud today. I feel your heat...I think Sunday we will get back down to the 80s...sigh. Try to stay cool....See MoreThursday blooms and we got plenty of rain
Comments (6)Thanks all for the comments. I think I have around 14 daylilies that still have not opened. I cleaned up the blooms tonight as the weather for tomorrow is hot, hot, hot and will feel like over 100 with the humidity. Inca Puzzle must be somewhere around 10+ fans. I was surprised how many buds opened today on it. Usually would get 3 or 4 at a time. The deep color is always on Lavender Blue Baby and I suspected it is the soil. I don't feed any established daylilies. Only new ones get a dose of alfalfa pellets when planted and additional watering otherwise the rest are on their own. Debra: The foliage on Cerise Masterpiece is narrow/slim and not wide and lush. It doesn't get many buds here either. Those are rudbeckia with Open Door. I have no idea how they got into the garden so I'll blame the birds. Julia...See MoreA few blooming on Thursday and Friday
Comments (7)I like orange and, because of your pictures over the past couple of years, Mighty Chestnut is on my list. Will need to see it in person in order to know whether I will like it's unusual shadings or not............I'm with you on Loving Up A Storm. It is not my type either.............Maryl...See Moredaylilybedmaker
