I have planted mine a few days ago, they came in blossom, now 2 of them are in bloom, but for first-year roses there is no general rule: some bloom only sometimes but put energy into growing in height, others bloom a lot but grow somewhat less. After one year, these individual differences level up and you should see the first bloom around the second half of april.

Blushing Knock Out is quite hardy. I have a number of them. What you have sounds like a typical body bagged rose bush. If the bush was stored and purchased indoors, the foliage will be tender and possibly would not survive freezing temps that could still occur in our zone. Foliage on packaged roses comes from nutrients and moisture stored in the canes. Quite often when planted in the sun this foliage will dry up and die. Once the plant begins to grow feeder roots it will replace that foliage if the plants is healthy and fresh enough. Remove the plant from the plastic and soak the bush for 24 hours in a bucket of water. If the existing foliage is very light green or yellowish it should be removed. Leaves require a lot of moisture and until those tiny feeder roots grow the only moisture available is that stored in the canes. Dormant buds on either side of the existing leaves will soon swell and replace those lost. When buying a packaged rose it best to choose one that's not leafed out or is just beginning to.

Don't stress. I'm not quite understanding what you heard, but if you did damage the root system some its likely it will just be a bit slower getting settled. Keep it watered, but don't overwater make sure the area is draining well, and I would suggest some kind of a mulch to keep moisture from escaping long term. If anything I would suspect a bit of wilting but thats just a guess, I'm betting on it being just fine.

Typical Knock Out, I'm afraid. The color ranges from bright, cherry red to hot pink. Here, in mid-summer, the color tends towards hot pink. And as the blooms get old, they can fade to lighter colors. Also, Pink Knock Out and Blushing Knock Out are color sports (mutations) of the original Knock Out, so you may find a pink (or light pink) bloom or two from time to time. The reverse happens too, you can find darker blooms on Pink and Blushing KO, even two-tones blooms on Blushing.
