first year I've seen so many yellow pine needles: Van der Wolf a

Hi,

I searched in the forums about my question and still am not sure what to think: I have two young pine trees: one white pine and one van der Wolf (I may be spelling it wrong, sorry). Both were SO very healthy this spring and summer. I planted both of them last year in the fall. I have been concerned that they both have a lot of yellow needles. The van der Wolf developed them very suddenly. They are interior. The white pine developed them much more slowly and they are distributed. The trees are in different locations (both sunny) in my yard. I read in one post that said pines hate noitrogen ( I do fertilize my grass occaisionally so it's possible the fertilizer slowly leached over to them). We have had enough rain and I have watered the few times we had spells withoiut much rain. Does this sound normal? Should I post pictures?

Thanks.
