Any luck in SK with Lttle Henry Sweetspire &Black lace elderberry

Hi again, I planted these two plants last fall and there's not a lot of action on either yet and it's already June 2. Black lace elderberry has nothing, sweetspire has a little green but is questionable.

Anybody else out there plant these and how are they doing?

    I have Black Lace and it has about 8 inches of growth, but it's planted in a very sheltered and hot location on the south side of the house.

    My BL had alot of top winter kill but it too is sprouting from the base.

    I don't see mine yet either. They have made it through a few winters so far.
