Comments (13)Brunfelsia pauciflora. Yours looks great! Mine is horribly chlorotic right now. There's one happily growing at a local nursery that is at least 12 feet tall and is in full blazing sun with reflected heat from a block wall and a big piece of bare asphalt. I don't know what that plant wants. There's a glorious one at the Huntington, too. I always make a point to go sniff it. That concrete guy on the right is saying, "Hey, come take a whiff of this plant!"...See MoreBrunfelsia (yesterday, today and tomorrow)
Comments (2)Molly, mine, of course, is in a container here in North Texas, and I have pruned it only when I take it out in the Spring. I did, however, find this on the internet and it pretty much says the same thing........ Pruning should be done in the spring and early fall to keep it from getting spindly and devoid of any real shape. Hope this helps ................See MoreYesterday, Today and Tomorrow Bush
Comments (13)Well, I'm sorry to hear about your plant, Brizzie, but I'm glad I'm not the only one with a dud. The trouble is mine is a big healthy bush but I do feel that I've given it enough chances. Now all I have to do is find a bribe big enough for my son so he'll do the deed for me. I remember over on the Rose Forum, they used to park the shovel next the bush that wasn't performing...a not-so-subtle threat. I wonder if it'll work with our bushes, Brizzie?...See MoreCarol love_the_yard (Zone 9A Jacksonville, FL)
