BORN TO RUN

EARLY DAYS (not again?) with Victoria Blue Salvia

It's raining and my day off. Now there is no excuse to not clean the house.

Well, I can't choose between them. Love the edge, shape, & I guess it is called watermark on born to Run, but I like the light edging & two tone look of Early Days.

Scheiners iris in iris row from my first year into iris and they have grown like crazy. I divided them last August and I they have grown so well since then that I can't tell that I even did so. But I really like the effect of that part of the garden. I have the TB iris there for earlier bloom and later I have the daylilies blooming. I have no more room so I can't make a new gardenbed. But if I could, I would have more TB iris. Love them when they flower! Course I do love my daylilies lots and lots. Oh well, no room for any new beds so no use fretting about it.

Guess what!! John! I had not been paying attention to my brugmansia plant( I almost forgot them) and then when I see your pictures... I go out in the rain and dark to see... I think I have the same flowers!!!! on mine!!! Three huge foot long yellow flowers..They are yet to turn a deeper peachy color. Oh My!!! how could I have missed them! My plants are not as big as yours though! this is the first year. I planted them in spring ( May) Tomorrow morning I will take pictures and smell them too. Japanese honey suckle and Jasmine.. Both are wonderful fragrances in my diary!! I am so happy know and will probably dream of them the entire night!!!

I'll second what Mantis said about rain. We have been watering constantly for the last couple of days, but it is hard to get around to all the beds. Rain or no, you have beautiful pictures of beautiful flowers. I really like Euphoric and Spacecoast Ojo Rojo.

Debra, I had wanted Jellyroll from the first time I saw Floota's photos of it, and I have been pleased with the first year bloom. Lori, those to are shoe offs, so I like them thanks you. Kate, you know I will be cause it has large blooms and is bright. And Jellyroll is one of those that just makes you smile when you see it bloom. Mantis, I think most of the ones I moved where struggling where they were, but Orchid Majesty has increased blooming so much it i surprising to me. I suspect, as you say, some of the others are still adjusting to the new "digs". kay

Your Born to Run is looking better than mine. Mine usually blooms looking like a bitone and really, really splotchy. I hope you have good luck with yours. Mine needs a new home where there is not heavy morning dew.

Mantis and Debra, the first few blooms of Born to Run were just a mess. Since my tags are in total disarray and/or illegible, I didn't even know what daylily it was. Even now, the scapes are quite short and the plant is sort of feeble. BORN TO RUN is limping in my garden too. What a shame because I love the shape and color of this flower.
