Has anyone tried planting a Sequoia circle (or similar?)

The "Sunset Western Garden Guide" suggests under the Sequoia heading, to plant them (this may be a bit off) 2M (6') apart, in a circle. I think it suggested 5-6 trees altogether.

Plan is, eventually they will create a lush canopy, where within the circle will be a cool area to chill out in. Kids could play in.... whatever.

A "neat" idea. Something I would do because I have the space, and a decent collection trees already. This is for fun...

While Sequoias are not reliably hardy here, Thuja, Pseudotsuga, even Larix, etc etc could work in the same manner.

Just curious if anyone has tried it? Was it worth it? What would you change if you did it again?

Thanks!!
