cuddywhiffer You win. I had double leaves on five different nodes on a cutting but no roots. You are getting figs on cuttings. No one can beat that. That is the fun part of it.

My experience my wife prints out the priority labels usually. Sometimes we run out or ink runs out etc. For a priority pound package its mostly 5.15 postage in US as it went up its used to be 4.95. More than that they charge more of course. Flat rate they have several different box sizes , what ever you can fit in the box its a flat fee no matter the weight next bigger size box whatever fits in it is flat fee and its a little more than the smaller box, then they have a 3rd box a little bigger a little more to ship whatever fits in it . Flat rate takes anywhere from 5 to `10 days in states. We were selling a lot of collectible sealed tobacco tins on ebay , model trains, etc.etc priority mail i like best 2 to 3 days. I have shipped first class air mail to China and other parts of the world and depending on the weight of course is price they charge and of course the options you choose can cost a little more also.Time to reciepient in China was 7 working days, priority similar but the cost was more. I have recieved some things i also collect on ebay and flat rate shipping from My Experience always take longer to recieve compared to priority mail as i have waited as long as 12 days to recieve some items. First class package i recieve about the same time as priority mail but usually the item i have recieved in the past is something small like a train part . I have recieved fig scion first class in a bubble envelope in great condition about same time as priority mail. Although if i was to ship a small plant it would be shipped priority mail in their box which i get for free in different sizes. I do kow first hand a forum member ships plants that way as i have recieved several plants that Always arrived in perfect condition due to his careful packaging and usually 2 days in transit to my door. Just my preference for plants is priority mail. Scion also prority mail as i already have many free boxes in several sizes. Best Health Martin

Definitely wrap each one in damp newspaper and mail them priority, that is the best. Also sometimes i use leftover Chinese restaurant containers if they are plastic, the flat small ones shaped like baking dishes that the entrees come in, they seal great and give a little more security and they come with the plastic lid over top. I have shipped many cuttings and other small plants in these. Not the won ton soup containers, the flat ones with lid, when we order Chinese, I save all of these plastic containers they are so great to store food into frigerator. Ciao best luck to you . No bubble busted here, Gorgi! I've often said this is a great "novelty fig" because of its size. I've had some to weigh in at six ounces on a postage scale. With very wet weather, it's a disaster. It's also only a 5 on a scale of 10 when it comes to taste when raw. It's a good cooking fig, though. It would be my last choice as an "only fig" or where space is limited. With all the requests I have, I don't have time to track you down if you're bashful. My favorite still is a fig I identified some 20 years ago as a Hunt. In moving, I lost all traces of it. I gave out a dozen or so rooted plants to members of the Friends of the Fig Society in Georgia, but most of those guys are dead now or missing in action. I would trade all of my figs for a good rooting of that one fig. I know it's out there somewhere. It was a medium-sized fig with a long, long neck and stem that allowed the eye to hang down. It had a very thin light purple skin and the eye usually exuded a little drop of "honey" in the morning when they were dead ripe. They never soured or split. And the taste was to die for. If anybody ever runs across it, please let me know. I'll trade you the QP mother tree for it! :))
