Who Prefers Old-Fashioned Singles to Doubles?

The thread about preferring shorter blooming varieties over reblooming varieties got me thinking about this. I've pretty much always felt like a minority, being one who prefers single flowers to their double-flowering varieties. Roses, hollyhocks, marigolds...and lately, the truly ridiculous-looking double-flowerd tiger lilies. I will pretty much always go for the single varieties. It may just be me, but I prefer having lots of smaller flowers rather than a few huge double ones, which inevitably are too heavy for them stems to support. Maybe I just prefer the simple beauty over their fussier-looking cousins. What do you say, folks, am I alone? Does anyone still like to see the unique forms of flowers instead of just a giant, shapeless glob of petals? :-)
